"What do we have?" Detective Lassiter yelled ducking under the yellow tape to the demolished car.

"Delaney Benson, female, seventeen years old. Looks like she was texting and driving in the rain no less then ran into the corner shop." Officer Mcnab explained walking along side the head detective and his junior partner.

The elder detective halted in his forward motion to turn his full attention to the officer. "So I was called down here at three in the morning for a teens stupid mistake that she already paid for?" He growled incredulously. Buzz stuttered and nodded sideways in an almost yes.

Carlton Lassiter rolled his eyes before backing away. "I'm going back to bed." Detective O'hara grabbed onto her partners arm before he could make it back under the tape. "This girl was reported missing at noon yesterday when she didn't show up for school. The Chief wants a complete statement from the both of us."

"Besides Lassie, you can't be so blind as to think that the girl would be so heartless as to drive so recklessly in a classic such as this." One Shawn Spencer said, suddenly appearing behind the detective partners.

"Spencer! Get away from my crime scene." The detective groused.

"Technically, you were about to leave yourself." One Burton Guster piped up from the other side of the detectives.

"Isn't it a little early for you two to be messing about?" Juliet inquired crossing her arms. "You mean annoying me?" Lassiter mumbled.

"Gus, has Indonisia and I was having a Chips marathon." Shawn explained. "It's called insomnia, Shawn!" Gus exclaimed. "I've heard it both ways." "No you haven't!"

"Not the point! The point is… This car did not deserve this kind of treatment." The pseudo psychic cried coming up to the wrecked vehicle and ghosting a hand over it.

"Shawn, a teenage girl died!"

"Yes, that's tragic too." He nodded his head only half paying attention. "But this car! This is 1968 Mustang GT with a stock 390 cubic-inch V8! I wouldn't have picked a power blue color, but I'm also not a texting teenage girl."

"Shawn!" Gus smacked him upside the head. "What, too soon?"

"Your point, Shawn?"

Shawn took a moment to assess the scene. He noticed that other than the glass and brick from the wreckage, the car was spotless. The sparkly blue cell phone was laid neatly on the passenger seat, barely had any dirt on it, and was on top of the glass.

"Oh!" Shawn shrieked pulling his hand up to his head. "The Spirits are telling me that there is more here than meets the eye, at least the naked eye as my psychic eye sees all."

This is more of a sneak peek than a chapter, but it has been way too long since I have posted anything.
