I decided to make a series of short, one-shot stories for each 40K army.

The Necrons had invaded Cadia, bent on completing the pylons the C'tan left unfinished so long ago. They used the black pylons to deal the ultimate blow to Chaos and Pyskers throughout the galaxy. They had seal the Eye of Terror shut.

This would prevent Abaddon the Despoiler from launching any more Black Crusades. It also crippled all who could wield the powers of the warp. With that victory, the galaxy was lost.

The Necrons arose in full force. Millions upon millions of worlds were desolated as the Skeletal slaves of the C'tan Gods were revived, the psychic echo that had allowed only a hundredth of the Necrons to awaken having been weakened, then destroyed.

Not even the massive numbers of the Orks that massed together could stop them. The Tau were crushed by the Ancient metal warriors who were hundreds of times their age. The Tyranids were exterminated, at least until another Hive Fleet arrived. The Eldar, who had held against the Star-Gods for millennia, were wiped out at last, including the remains of Khaine the Bloody-Handed and The Laughing Gods, who had tricked many C'tan to destroying themselves. The Imperium's forces annihilated world after world being swarmed by billions of metal-skeletons. And so the Blood Harvest continued, until only one world remained living. Holy Terra.

The Space Marines, Inquisition, Witch Hunters, Imperial Guard, Titan Legions, everyone, fought to defend their capital.

But it was pointless. The Necrons forced them back into the Palace, slaughtering to the point that only the Grey Knights held out in the Throne Room. But the were few.

In the end the Necrons won. The C'tan's servants had once again wiped life from the galactic plane.

And so, they returned to their Crypts to sleep, to wait another six thousand years for life regrow and allow them to commence in a bloody slaughter again.

The Necrons had won.

Please be nice in your reveiws.
