I really like this one shot of mine, for some reason. Yes, I know Inuyasha is a cold-hearted demon, but I just wanted to shed some light on him. Reviews will be kindly appreciated! Enjoy!
Kagome shot Naraku, and he, to her. They both fall to the ground, where the dark and contrasting dead leaves fell. With no hesitation did I run to her and caught the body of the dying.
The darkness around my body drifted away and I could feel a sense of regrettable happiness. Naraku has finally died. But before me, in my long arms, did I feel her warmth slip from me along with the sullen atmosphere.
"Kagome!" I yelled, hoping that my voice would somehow revive her.
"Inu-yasha," she whispered, gasping for the breath that could no longer help her. "Take me far away from here." She forcefully laid a hand on my chest. "Please, take me away."
"Where? Where do you want me to take you to?" I cried, burying my head into her neck. "Kagome..."
"Bring me to a place, where we can be alone. A place where there is unconditional joy." My tears stained her school uniform. "Bring me..." Her sweet voice could no longer be heard instead her hand fell down from my chest, hanging on to her body lifelessly.
"No! Kagome, you must continue living! I can't- I won't," I said, correcting myself. "Be without you." I squeezed her in my arms.
Fulfilling her last wish I ran to a place where she loved. A place of love and happiness. I could hear protests from my friends, but I carried on.
I smiled as I neared the place. Yes, this is the place. The sakura flowers swiftly fell to the ground. I laid her down and grabbed an infantile bud and placed it between her ear. No one could possibly compare to her beauty from inside and out.
I bent down onto my knees and looked at her.
Her silky hair that slid off my fingers, her eyes that were now peacefully closed, and her lips that were motionless, could only add to her wonderful personality. Of course, she had some hard moments, but she is only human. Even a demon can never be perfect. But to me, she was as perfect as the stars that twinkled in the midnight sky.
"I'll join you, and in the next world shall our love start where it had ended. Kagome, please hold on for I will soon meet you."
I held the tetsusaiga in my hand.
Don't be afraid, my love. As you promised, we'll be together, even in the next world, her charismatic voice drifted into my ears. Hurry...
I obeyed her and sliced my throat with the sword that was used to protect the love of my life. Kagome, I'm coming...
