She kissed him without thinking, just wanting to find some way to get into the family again. The way Gillian was acting, she was taking Kris' place. She wouldn't let that happen. Even though she still loved Junior so much, she had to do this to keep her family, her only family.
Matt kissed Kris back and she pushed him forcefully back onto the bed in the bunkhouse. He unzipped her sweatshirt, everything moving incredibly fast. As they kissed with more passion, all Kris could think about was how much this would hurt Junior. How much he would hate her. And Matt. God, Matt had been his best friend for forever.
This is all my fault, I have to stop, it's selfish, Kris thought to herself. And then Matt hit that spot in her mouth that triggered all her emotions at once. She was sure it was just by mistake, but it felt so good.
And then she wasn't really in it for just family anymore, it was starting to become more of a physical wanting. She unbuttoned Matt's shirt quickly and unzipped his pants. They continued to kiss and that lead to a heated passion that Kris had never wanted with Matt. She had only wanted this type of moment with Junior. As he continued to make her feel pleasure, all she could think of was Junior. It got to the point where she believed that Matt was Junior and all she wanted to do was show him her love.
They were laying in bed 10 minutes later, and Kris realized the horrible mistake she had made. She was too exhausted to scold herself now, but she would later. She fell asleep about 5 minutes after Matt.
The sound of glass breaking against a wall woke her up. Matt was nowhere to be seen, but Junior sure was. He had thrown one of Henry's old snow globes against the wall, and there was water everywhere. He obviously put two and two together and was furious. His face was contorted in an expression she had never seen before and she was hurt that she had caused that. It was a look of pure disgust, with hurt and anger mixed in.
"How could you do this Kris?! Did you want to hurt me as much as humanely possible? Because that's exactly what you and Matt did. If you really had loved me at some point, you wouldn't have done this," Junior said, trying to be quiet because people were sleeping.
"I-I'm sorry. I am so sorry Junior. I-I do love I swear," Kris said, beginning to cry.
"NO, don't say you love me. If you loved me, this," he said gesturing around the room, "wouldn't have ever happened. Why did you do this?" Junior asked looking at her with a look of confusion written on his face. "It obviously wasn't because you loved Matt, because I know you don't. God, Kris, you're going to hurt him so badly, too. Not that I'd sympathize with him," Junior said.
"I don't know I just-" Kris started.
"Don't give me that Kris. You DO know. Just tell me, now please," Junior said looking at the floor.
"B-because. Because I wanted to be a part of the family again," she said, looking at him with tear-filled eyes. "Please, don't you understand it?"
"No I really don't. You were always a part of their family and you always will be Kris, that won't change," he said. "But you and me will. We're done. We're never going to "try again" and we aren't going to repair things, because you, and only you screwed them up beyond repair. I'm leaving, and you had better listen to me when I say, I NEVER want to see or talk to you again," Junior said through gritted teeth.
"Junior, please don-" Kris began.
"Save it for someone who loves you," Junior said, snarling as he left.
