Another Baratheon OC. I have no other words, well except that this is really AU. Basically, Jaime died in the Sack of King's Landing by the Mountain trying to save Elia and her children. Jaime killed Aerys before that. Because of this, Tywin punishes Gregor by giving him to the Dornish, the Martells don't hate the Lannisters as much, but they still blame Tywin for Elia. Cersei grieves for her brother but has to do her duty. She conceives and bears a son, her only son that she'll ever have with Robert or any other man. That's where we begin our story.

284 A.C.

Cersei was in pain. It was pure agony. She wondered if she would survive this or be like her mother. She remembered back to a time where she was a young girl. The witch's prophecy. Only two children you will have with the king. And the eldest shall be a great hero to all. If you don't stray him from the path of duty and justice. And love his queen. Cersei was thinking about that when another contraction hit. She was screaming in pain. Pycelle was there, the lecherous little rat. She hated that he was looking up her cunt but the midwives assured her that he needed to be there to do his job.

"That's it, keep pushing Your Grace." He said.

"I am you idiot! What in Seven hells do you think I'm doing?!" She screamed at him. She kept pushing with all her might until a loud cry echoed throughout the room. It was the sound of a newborn babe.

"Here Your Grace. It's a boy, healthy and robust." One of the midwives said.

"Let me see him. Let me see my son." Cersei demanded. The child was placed in her arms. It calmed down as soon as she held it. He then appeared to be gazing everywhere, trying to get used to his new surroundings. She couldn't take her eyes of him. He was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen in her life. "Hello little one. I'm your mama." She said. He looked at her a small smile appearing on his face. She pulled out her breast and he started feeding. It was like that for a few moments before he fell asleep in her arms. This child will rule over them all. I know it. He'll be a great king one day. I'll make sure of it. Then she thought back to the prophecy. Don't stray him from the path of justice. What does it mean? She thought. Those thoughts were thrown out when her royal husband came in with a pelt.

"My queen." He said. "How is the child?"

"He's doing fine. He's just resting for now." She said. Robert put the pelt down and sat by her side.

"Have you named him yet?"

"Not yet. I thought about many names though."

"Well how about you choose? I'm not good at that." He said. Cersei thought about it for a while. She could name him after Robert's father, but that might seem redundant. Her own grandfather was dismissed as were several other names of previous Baratheons. But then, she thought about her grandfather on her mother's side of the family.

"Jason. That's what I'll call him. Prince Jason Baratheon."

At the same time at Dragonstone

Lord Stannis Baratheon, Lord of Storm's End and Lord Paramount of the Stormlands due to Robert being crowned as king was on his ship, Fury, heading to Dragonstone to deal with the last remaining Targaryens, Queen Rhaella and little Prince Viserys. The storms had been raging at Dragonstone for many months now, as if some divine intervention was causing the Targaryens to be unable to flee. But now the storms had ceased. Stannis landed with his troops on the beach and began laying siege to the castle. Despite the storms the garrison fought bravely but it was all in vain. Stannis himself killed the man leading the garrison, Ser Willem Darry in single combat. Eventually he made his way to the castle where he heard the screams of a woman. He followed it up to the rooms where the screams stopped. He entered the chambers to find Queen Rhaella lying in bed with many midwives surrounding her. In her arms she held a little bundle.

"Lord Stannis." She said tiredly.

"Queen Rhaella. I am here under the command of my brother Robert of House Baratheon, First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, to take this castle."

"And you have done a fine job at that. I surrender the castle to you my lord."

"Is this your last child?"

"It is. A girl. Daenerys." Rhaella replied. Stannis felt some relief at that, perhaps a girl will be more useful than a boy. But he needed to find Viserys as well.

"And your son? Where is Viserys?"

"I do not know. Far away, here in the castle I do not know." Rhaella said. Stannis turned to one of his men.

"Tell the men to search the castle and find the boy." Stannis ordered, and the men did as they were bid.

"Are you going to kill them?" Rhaella asked.

"No, I do not murder children. However, my brother has commanded me to bring them to him so that he may decide their fates."

"If that happens, your brother will kill them." She replied.

"Jon Arryn might convince Robert to not harm them."

"Oh, I hope he does. But that monster murdered my son, and let my grandchildren be murdered by a monster. Ser Jaime was the true knight that day when I heard about it."

"Ser Gregor has been punished for his actions I assure you." Stannis replied.

"Good. May I ask then of one favor?" Rhaella asked.

"Of course."

"Protect my children. Shield them if you can from your brother's wrath. I don't want my last children to suffer for their father's actions. For the sake of our kinship, promise me that they will not be harmed. Promise me, Stannis!" She shouted the last part. Stannis felt conflicted, but was honor bound to do his duty.

"I will. I promise." He said.

"Thank you." Rhaella said weakly. "Here, you take her." She said holding out the babe to Stannis. He approached the bed and took the sleeping girl in his arms. "Goodbye, little Dany." Rhaella said before closing her eyes forever. Stannis then looked to another of his men.

"Wrap her up and prepare her body for the journey to King's Landing. She will be buried with her family."

"Yes, my lord." The man said. Stannis left the room to find out if his men found Viserys or not. A few of his men came to him on the beach with a silver haired boy in one of his men's arms.

"Lord Stannis, the Prince Viserys. Executed in Good King Robert's name." He said proudly.

"He wasn't executed!" One of his other men shouted. "You murdered him!"

"He was going for my knife. I defended myself." The man shrugged.

"No he wasn't, he was scared and you butchered him!" Another man shouted.

"That's what we're supposed to do right? Kill the remaining Targaryens?" The man asked Stannis. At this point Stannis was brimming with anger.

"No. Our orders were to capture them and bring them to the capital." He said. He looked at the man with hatred in his eyes. "Hang him above the castle walls. Let it be known what happens to those who disobey my orders." He said. The men gladly started carrying the man off.

"No! Mercy my lord! I will do whatever you wish!" He shouted.

"I am being merciful. Pray that I do not do worse to you." He stated. As the man was being carried off screaming. Stannis made his way to his ship and into his cabin. As he was sitting the babe started to stir in his arms. She wasn't being fussy or anything but she was just waking up and taking in her surroundings. She looked to Stannis with astonishment in his eyes and gave him a smile. Stannis didn't give the baby any responses. I'll protect you child. I promise. I made a vow to your mother and I will not fail it like I did your brother.

Five Days Later

When Stannis arrived in King's Landing, he entered the Red Keep and made his way to the small council chambers where Robert and Lord Arryn awaited him.

"Brother! So? Was it successful?" He asked hopeful. Stannis felt a bit of bile in his throat but swallowed it.

"Dragonstone has been taken, Your Grace. Queen Rhaella passed away and Prince Viserys was killed by one of my men. He's been punished for disobeying orders."

"Punished?" Robert asked incredulously. "I would've rewarded the man."

"Robert," Jon Arryn started.

"I won't hear another word. They all deserved to die."

"What is that in your arms Lord Stannis?" Jon Arryn asked gesturing to the child in his arms.

"This is Daenerys Targaryen, the last child of Aerys." Stannis stated. Robert looked at the child with fury.

"I want it dead. NOW!" He shouted.

"Robert no! Think on this." Lord Arryn said.

"I have, and I will not let that Dragonspawn live another second."

"No." Stannis said. Robert turned to him shocked. "You will not harm a hair on this child's head."

"I will not…I am your king! And I command you to kill that child!" He shouted.

"Find someone else then, I will not have an innocent child's blood on my hands." Stannis said.

"You dare?!" Robert shouted.

"ENOUGH!" Jon Arryn shouted. "Robert you will listen and you will listen well. That child is the best hope for uniting the kingdoms."

"What do you mean?! I've already done that!" Robert shouted.

"No, you rewarded Lord Tywin for sacking the city and marrying his daughter."

"You told me to marry the woman!"

"Yes, I did. We needed the Lannister's wealth to stabilize the kingdoms. But now the situation has changed. You have a trueborn son now. If you marry both children then the realm will be at peace." Lord Arryn said. Stannis had to admit, it did have some merit.

"You mean marry my son to a Dragonspawn?" Robert questioned.

"I mean marry your son to the last Targaryen and we will have an ensuring peace that lasts for generations. House Baratheon won the throne by right of conquest. But having both Baratheon and Targaryen marry each other, will unite the Seven Kingdoms. The Dornish will not be pleased if you do anything to the girl, you'll have another rebellion on your end and the Reach may be inclined to join them. If you do this and marry them off, then the loyalists will remain peaceful." Jon said. Robert looked to be contemplating before sighing heavily.

"Fine. But I don't ever want to see the girl until my son marries her, and even then, I don't want to see her." Robert said with finality.

"You have my word. Lord Stannis you will watch over the girl?" Lord Arryn asked him. Stannis nodded his head in response.

"I will." He replied. With that Robert left in a huff. Lord Arryn then approached Stannis.

"How old is the child?" He asked Stannis.

"She's about five days old." Stannis replied.

"By the gods." Lord Arryn exclaimed. "She was born the same day as the prince."

290 A.C.

Ever since Robert returned from the Greyjoy Rebellion, Jason always wanted to fight like his father. When he was four Cersei and Robert had a huge argument over whether Jason should be training.

"He's only four years old Robert! He's too young!" Cersei exclaimed.

"I was his age when I started wielding a sword. Then when I was ten I was swinging hammers." Robert told her.

"He's too young!" She said.

"Quit coddling him! If you continue with this people will laugh at him!" He shouted at her. it was then Cersei remembered the prophecy again. That he would be a great hero to all. But only if she didn't intervene. She sighed at her royal husband.

"Very well. Train him if you will." She resigned.

And Jason was doing well for the past two years. He was being trained personally by Ser Barristan Selmy. If anyone should be training her son, Barristan was the best for the job. For a year he was excelling in his training. In the tiltyard he was going up against one of the other boys sparring with him. Jason easily beat him, even though he was hit hard on his back. He was getting excited when his mother came down to watch him.

"Mama! Mama!" He came bounding up to her. "Did you see? Did you see what I did?" He asked excitedly.

"I did my love. You fought very well." She knelt to his level and embraced him. She didn't care that the other boys were snickering at her son at this moment. She sent them a fierce glare which made them cower and then led her son back to his chambers.

"Well done, 'Mama'," A voice said from behind her. Her little brother Tyrion. Cersei rolled her eyes at her little brother.

"I wanted to tell him I was proud of him." She replied.

"Well you could have done that in private. He needs to learn how to fight without his mother there coddling him."

"I do not coddle him!" She replied sharply. "I just like encouraging him now and then."

"Well, if it works for you then I won't say another word." Tyrion said.

"Good. See to it that you don't." Cersei replied.

"I love you sweet sister." Tyrion said.

"Yes, well I do too." She replied. It didn't bother her anymore to say how much she cared for her little brother. Years ago when they were children, yes, she would despise him, but ever since Jaime, they both ended up connecting as a result. They shared that same grief together and as a result grew closer. Not like what she had with Jaime but as a real family. She swore she would find someone for him to marry, considering what happened to him.

A few days later

Jason came to her one day to ask her something she didn't expect.

"Mama." He said.

"Yes my sweet?" She asked.

"I was training with Ser Barristan and he talked about how I fight like my uncle Jaime. And I know you don't talk about him that much but was he like that?" He asked innocently. Cersei felt her heart sting. She had never talked about Jaime for years after his tragic death at the hands of that monster, the Mountain. She was glad when she heard that her father gave him to the Dornish and as far as she knew Gregor was still alive but being tortured. She thought it wasn't enough, that monster took away her other half, her twin, her love. But if the Dornish's history is anything to go by, Gregor was suffering tremendously. Cersei sat Jason down and told him.

"He was. He was always like that, even when he was your age. Do you know of the Kingswood Brotherhood?"

"Yes! That's where Arthur Dayne slew the Smiling Knight!" Jason exclaimed.

"Yes my love, but did you know that your uncle Jaime was there too?"

"He was?"

"Oh yes. He was only a squire at the time and he was about fifteen when he went there. There was someone who tried to slay him, but your uncle bravely fought him off. After that, he was knighted."

"And then, the Mad King made him a Kingsguard like Ser Barristan?" He asked.

"Yes, he did." Cersei responded sadly.

"But then Uncle Jaime killed the Mad King." Jason said to her. Cersei nodded her head and tears started forming in her eyes. "Mama, why are you crying?" He asked her.

"I just miss your uncle sometimes. I think about him a lot." She answered.

"I'm sorry mama, I didn't mean to make you cry." He said before wrapping his arms around her neck. "Please don't cry. I'm sorry." He pleaded. Cersei couldn't help but wrap her own arms around her only son.

"It's not you dearest. Don't ever apologize for that. It's not your fault." Cersei said. And she hugged him back just as fiercely.

"Okay, I love you mama." He said muffled in her shoulder.

"I love you too my boy. My sweet baby boy." She said letting the tears fall more freely.

A few days later

Jason had skipped his lessons with Pycelle, the old man was boring him to death. So he decided to explore the castle. He wanted to find the room where all the Targaryen dragons were. He found his way there and found the skulls. He was admiring the small ones before making his way further to the bigger skulls. When he got to Balerion the Dread he was in awe. He had never seen anything so big. But then he heard his father's laugh. As well as another woman's. Jason knew he would be in serious trouble if he was caught. So he made his way inside the dragon's mouth. He could hear his father mumble something to the girl. Eventually he saw them taking each other's clothes off and they started wrestling. Jason tried to hide himself so he couldn't see it. But then he heard a gasp. Jason turned around to find a silver haired girl sitting in the very back of the dragon's mouth. Jason put his finger up to his lips to tell her to be quiet. The girl timidly nodded. Jason made his way closer to her. She seemed frightened.

"It's alright. I won't hurt you." He whispered. "What's your name?"

"Daenerys." The girl said timidly.

"I'm Jason. It's nice to meet you Daenerys." He said holding out his hand. She shook it and then quickly retracted. Then more noises came from his father. "Oh, sorry about him. He likes to play with the wenches." Dany nodded her head. "Why do you come here?" He asked her.

"I like to play here. But I don't have any friends." She said.

"I can be your friend. Is that okay?" He asked.

"Okay." Dany said. Then they heard his father leave the place.

"Well, maybe I'll see you tomorrow?" Jason asked.

"If you'd like." Dany said.

"Great! See you then!" Jason said bounding out of the dragon's mouth. He didn't even notice the girls small smile she was giving him.

A few months later

He and Dany were walking through the gardens watched by Ser Arys Oakheart and Ser Boros. He liked Arys, he was likeable. Boros, he didn't like him at all, he thought he was a fat idiot. But Jason put those thoughts aside and spent his time with Dany. She told him that she was called that by the wet nurses who raised her, and Lord Varys, his father's Master of Whisperers. It was easier to say than Daenerys.

"I've never been this far out before." Dany said.

"Really?" Jason asked.

"No. I don't know how to feel. I think I'm getting scared." She said.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you. You can be like Naerys and I can be like Aemon the Dragonknight!" He said. Her face lit up at that.

"Okay! Oh please, good ser protect me!" Dany said overdramatically.

"I will princess! Look it's the king! Aegon the Unworthy!" Jason pointed to Ser Boros. He didn't look amused. But Arys was chuckling. "I will save you from that monster! You will not take her vile monster!" He exclaimed to which Boros just rolled his eyes. They were having a bit of fun until Ser Meryn came to them.

"Pardon my prince. Your mother has requested to see you." He said. Jason looked disappointed but turned to Dany.

"I'll see you later?" He asked.

"Sure. I'm heading back to my room anyway." She replied. Jason made his way to where his mother was, but to his surprise not only was his mother there, but there were others as well. His uncle, Lord Stannis, Lord Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, and finally, to his surprise and horror, his father.

"My son." His mother said sweetly. "Please have a seat." She gestured to the chair.

"Am I in trouble?" He asked.

"No, of course not." His mother answered.

"I won't do it again I promise." He insisted.

"My prince, you are not in trouble at all. We just wished to discuss something with you." Lord Arryn said.

"Okay." Jason replied sitting on the chair across from his parents.

"Nephew." His uncle started. "Do you remember the stories about your father's rebellion? Against the Mad King Aerys?" Jason nodded at this.

"Yes. Father defeated the Targaryens in his rebellion."

"And you know I took Dragonstone yes?"

"Yes. I know that."

"That girl you're friends with. She's the last Targaryen in the world."

"I thought Dany was a Targaryen. That's because of what I read in Maester Pycelle's books." Jason said.

"Yes lad." Jon Arryn spoke up. "But there is something you should know. The reason why she's here now is because when you both turn six-and-ten, you will be wed." This confused Jason.

"I don't understand." He said.

"Nor do you need to my son." His mother said. "But these meetings you have with her is a good thing, you'll learn a lot about her, and she about you. And you seem to be good friends, it could turn into something more."

"Eww! You mean like kissing? Gross!" He exclaimed. This brought a little laughter to Lord Arryn and a bit from his mother. However his father looked impassive as well as his uncle.

"Well, it will happen one day. So best get used to her." His father said. Jason grumbled.

"Alright." He said.

"Now leave us. Your mother and I have a bit more to discuss." His father said. Jason walked out of the room and went to where Dany's was. He knocked on the door and she opened it and she was surprised to see him.

"I didn't think I'd see you that much later." She said.

"Sorry, I just wanted to tell you something."

"Okay. What is it?"

"Um, I found out that when we get older, we're supposed to marry." This took Dany by surprise. "I don't know how to feel about this."

"Well, um. I think marrying someone is…alright."

"Alright?" He asked.

"Yeah. But I thought your father hated me. Because of what my brother did."

"What?" Jason asked. He didn't think she knew about this. "Who told you that?"

"Some bald man. He calls himself the Spider." Dany answered. Jason knew who she was talking about.

"Lord Varys?" He asked.

"Yes, that's who it was." She said remembering.

"Huh, well, okay. But are you okay with it?"

"With what?"

"Marrying me."

"I don't know, I haven't done it before."

"I don't know how to feel either. But I'll try to figure this out if you will." Jason said. Dany nodded her head quickly.

"Okay. Yeah, we will." She said. They stood there for a moment just contemplating what was happening until Jason spoke up again.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow, then?" He asked.

"Sure." Dany said.

"Okay, see you then." Jason said. Before he walked out of the room Dany stepped forward and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. Jason and Dany both blushed fiercely before Jason left and Dany went back in her room.

294 A.C.

Jason had been growing a lot more lately. Cersei suspected he would be as tall as Jaime one day but be as strong as Robert. In the past few years Jason had been studying under his uncle Lord Stannis Baratheon and Lord Jon Arryn, while still getting his sword lessons from Ser Barristan. But now it was his tenth nameday and to celebrate it, Cersei decided to take Jason to her ancestral home of Casterly Rock where her father would host a tourney in Lannisport. Accompanying her were her husband and his Kingsguard, Tyrion and of course, Jason himself. He was going to bring Daenerys with him, but Cersei told him that it would be awkward considering what her father did to her family. Jon Arryn would be ruling in Robert's stead. They approached the Lion's Mouth and Cersei could see Jason's mouth was agape. Cersei laughed to herself. Her son had never seen the Rock before.

"Wow! That's huge! You didn't tell me how big it was!" He exclaimed.

"That was a surprise my dear. Do you like it?"

"It's amazing!" The ten year old said. Cersei smiled to herself. They entered the courtyard where her father was waiting. He was joined by her uncle Kevan, her aunt Genna and her mother's brother Stafford. When Robert entered the courtyard her father and the whole household kneeled before him before Robert bid them to stand.

"Your Grace." Her father started. "Casterly Rock is yours." He said diplomatically.

"Ah bugger that Tywin! We're family!" Robert said patting her father hard on his back. Cersei knew her father never liked her husband but he put up with it due to her being queen. She stepped out of the carriage with Jason by her side and approached her father.

"Your Grace." Her father greeted with a bow.

"Father." Cersei curtseyed. "You remember Jason?" She gestured to her son.

"I do." Her father said. He walked over to her son. "Prince Jason, do you remember me?" Jason looked at her father a bit nervous. He nodded and bowed his head in respect.

"My lord." He said. She could see Tywin hum in response. He leaned down to her son's level.

"It is good you know your manners. But you may call me grandfather whenever we are in private or you are among family. Is that understood?" He said to him. Jason nodded his head.

"Yes my lord, I mean grandfather." Jason corrected himself. Her father then turned to her.

"Come see me in my chambers." He told her in a commanding voice. She obeyed without question at that. She knew who her father was. They entered his solar and he began to sit down and read a few papers on his desk. She sat on the other side of the desk waiting. She knew her father would do this to show power but then she was taken by surprise when it only lasted about a minute. "He's looks good, you son." She looked at him surprised he would say that. "Strong too. Is he getting any lessons from his family?" He asked her.

"Just three people teaching him. Lord Arryn, his uncle Lord Stannis and Ser Barristan is training him." Cersei responded. Her father hummed in response.

"Lord Stannis is a good choice, the man is one of the best commanders in Westeros, Jason will need all the help he can get with Stannis teaching him. And if the country goes to war, he'll know what to do. Ser Barristan is a good choice in terms of strength of arms. The man is a legend, it is a good thing he is being trained by him. But Lord Arryn?" Her father shook his head. "I respect the man, he is keeping Robert's kingdom from falling apart. But he is not that wise to deal with the people of the capital. He knows about honor and duty, but not of the things I've found out during my time there. Your boy needs to be trained by someone who knows this." Cersei knew where this answer was going.

"And what do you suggest?" She asked, knowing the answer.

"I would like to take your son in. I'll foster him here and he'll learn from the best. If he's to sit the throne one day he needs to be taught by the right people."

"I don't know if it's a good idea."

"Your son will be raised here and learn from his family." Her father said firmly.

"He is already being taught by his family."

"His father's family. Not his mother's." Her father said.

"I'm not sure if—"

"Give me two years with your son. That is all I will ask. After that I will return him to you." Her father offered. It wasn't inherently a bad idea. Jason needed to be taught the game her father played. If he was to be king he needed to be smart about who to trust. Cersei nodded her head in agreement. "Oh and one other thing. You need more children." Cersei looked up at her father in surprise.

"I have done my duty father. I have given the king an heir." She retorted.

"And I need an heir to Casterly Rock." Her father replied.

"You have an heir." Cersei said.

"Had. I had an heir. Jaime is dead. And if you think I'm going to turn it over to that lecherous little stump—"

"Tyrion is your son. You just need to give him a chance."

"And when I did that, he married a whore." Her father replied.

"He didn't know that."

"He should've. I will not hear another word."

"Father please don't—" She started before her father slammed his hand on his desk.

"Not another word!" He shouted. "You will do your duty to this family. Is that clear?" He asked. Cersei couldn't help but nod. She knew if her father was resolute in ordering his family to do his bidding, there would be no getting out of it.

They then headed to the Great Hall where the feast was being held. She could see Jason was having fun with Tyrion and her other cousins, Daven, Willem and Martyn. But she could see there was longing in his eyes. She knew he missed Daenerys. In the past four years, both of them were getting close to each other. It wasn't love, not yet, both of them were still too young to know the meaning of the word, but the two of them were inseparable. They always walked together around the Red Keep. They would always cause a bit of mischief with the other nobles and ladies. One time they put Essence of Nightshade in Pycelle's drink and the whole day, everyone was searching for him wondering where he was, only to find him asleep in his chambers. Her husband was furious and the whole council yelled at him. But when she found Jason smirking at dinner one night she asked him what was wrong, and he confessed what he and Dany did. Robert, surprisingly laughed at that and praised their son for doing a prank like that. But the surprising thing is that Robert didn't react negatively when he mentioned Dany. Though, he didn't even mention her, but it was surprising that he didn't judge the girl for her actions. Cersei knew if Jason and Daenerys kept growing closer it would turn to love. Cersei hoped for that, that it could turn into a good marriage. That was the one thing that could make her happy, knowing that the one thing good that came out of her miserable marriage was knowing her son would be happy with the woman he loved.

Eventually the feast ended and when she and her husband were leaving her father gave her a knowing look. She knew what she had to do. They both entered their rooms and Cersei began to undress her husband who seemed too drunk to figure out what was happening to him he was slurring the whole time. As soon as all of his clothes were off, she undressed herself. She laid him on the bed and mounted him. He was doing his best to get her on the bed, but Robert was simply too drunk to protest. Eventually he spent his seed within her. Cersei hoped it would quicken, she never wanted to do this ever again.

298 A.C.

Jason was getting himself ready for the journey north. His father's Hand, Jon Arryn was dead. Died of a fever. Jason didn't think too much of it other than he missed the old man. He was always kind to him. He taught him a lot of things about honor and duty and how to rule. He got those same lessons from his grandfather, though it was a more ruthless approach. But he learned, nonetheless. He knew a king or a lord had to be ruthless with his enemies and dispatch justice, but when they bent the knee he would be merciful. He was taught this because his grandfather told him that no man would ever bend the knee to him if he was merciless. He was finished packing when the woman he loved more than anything in the world, Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, entered his room.

"You all ready to go?" He asked her.

"Yes." Dany replied. But she paced a bit back and forth.

"What is it?" Jason asked knowingly.

"Do you think it's a good idea? Me going to the North? I mean after what my father did to the Starks—"

"If they judge you based on your father, then they are petty imbeciles." He said. Dany scoffed at that.

"Imbeciles? Who are you and what have you done to my Jason?" Dany asked incredulously.

"Sorry, it's from my grandfather, his words come out of me now and then."

"Clearly." She retorted.

"All I'm saying, is that if they judge you by your father, then they don't deserve you as queen one day." Jason said to her holding her hands.

"Thank you." Dany replied. Jason then cupped her cheek and brought his lips to hers. It wasn't a surprise that the future king and queen were close to each other. It was only a few months ago that they decided to act upon their feelings for each other. Now they couldn't wait until their wedding day. They left the room to enter the courtyard. There, his family was waiting but one in particular was running up to him.

"Jason! Jason!" The little three-year-old boy shouted before Jason picked him up.

"Hey little brother! You ready for today Tommen?" Jason asked.

"I am! I am!" Tommen shouted. Jason put him down and the boy then went up to his future wife.

"Dany! Pick me up Dany!" Tommen said putting his arms out toward her.

"Alright." Dany said. She picked him up and pretended he was hard to lift. "Oh, you're so big! I don't know if I'll be able to hold you anymore!" She jested. He saw her walk up to her mother with Tommen in her hands and then the three of them entered the carriage. Meanwhile, Jason went over to his horse right next to his father.

"Father." He greeted. His father sent him a nod.

"You ready to see Winterfell boy? It's where Ned grew up. Ned! I haven't seen him in nine years."

"I'm sure he'll be happy to see you."

"Oh he will! I plan on him coming here." His father said. Jason knew that to be the case but didn't protest. His uncle Stannis told him that a king's word is law, and if his father wanted Ned Stark to be the next Hand of the King, then so be it. They then rode off toward the North. But Jason couldn't help the feeling, that something terrible would happen when they got back.

And there you have it. Now as I said, very AU. But we'll be meeting the Starks in the next chapter. And there might be one more Baratheon in there, you'll just have to wait until the next chapter. Hopefully I explained a bit in the story and seeing as there is no Joffrey or Jaime, I'd say some of the story bits are going to be drastically different. Leave a comment and review and I'll see you all next time.
