Dexis took out a book after dismounting his horse. His Penitus Oculatus armor deterred any attempts to rob him on the way to Dawnstar, his home He was on leave, and he planned on visiting his father and help anyway he could. His father asked for a book to read while he wasn't out hunting. He knocked on the door, and when he didn't hear an answer, he walked in. What he found was an astonishing amount of blood and his father's decapitated corpse near the fireplace. T'was the brotherhood.
OoOoOoOoOoOo
Dexis called the guards, but he knew they wouldn't do anything. They simply took note of the scene and returned to their barracks. How could they just leave such a crime alone? It was sure to happen again, and he wasn't all that sure the guards, or the Jarl for that matter really cared. Dexis' elven ears twitched as he heard a knock on the door. "What?" He asked in a mildly annoyed tone. It was a courier at the door, in his dammed hat and hideous green clothes. "Oh, sorry sir I have a note for you from a mister...Oh? General Tullius. Looks important. Here ya go!" The courier left and Dexis slammed the door behind him. His father's body was taken by the guards for observation. He opened the letter and read it patiently, he didn't have anything better to do yet. His father's burial was a week away.
Dexis,
I have spoken to Commander Maro, and he recommended you for a mission the Empire has been planning for some time. You have been transferred and are now under my command until further notice. A carriage for will be sent to Dawnstar in a week, you have that much time to gather your things and say your goodbyes, you will not be going back to Dawnstar for a long time.

General Tullius
Dexis sighed, wonderful. He couldn't even investigate his father's murder now. Wonderful. He grabbed a pack and tossed in a pair of clothes, a pair of boots, some food, and a spare steel dagger. For the next week he was to wait for a carriage and prepare for a journey. What was he gonna do for that long? Under normal circumstances, father and himself would go out hunting, but it looks like he would be poaching all alone. Dexis laid in his bed and had a fitful sleep, there was a long week ahead of him.
A/n: I know this seems rushed, but this is just the first chapter, it won't be that bad in the next few chapters. This is my first story, so polite criticism is welcomed. Thanks for reading and remember to R&R :3!
