When I was younger, my mom use to tell me a superstation that she firmly believed in. every time a streetlight turns red, someone has seen their true love for the first time. When it turns yellow, someone has found everything they love about their true love. And when it turns green, someone has kissed their true love for the first time.

I think it was her way of lightening up the inconvenience. I always found it found it funny to be in the car with her at a red light, she would always yell, "Can they just kiss already!" she always said it with a smile too. I guess that's why I'm a hopeless romantic. I have always loved love stories, no matter how elaborate or simple.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Mitchie Torres. I'm eighteen; I am the daughter of Dallas and John Torres. I was named after a character my aunt (Demi Lovato) played in a movie when she was 16. I was so fortunate (more like unfortunate) that my mom fell for a guy who just happens to have the last name of my aunt's character. I just love hearing those jokes every family get-together. And, the best part is, I look exactly like my aunt when she was younger.

Anyway, how this superstation started was my mom and dad had first kiss on a street corner in New York, and just when they kiss, the light turned green. Out of all the love stories I've heard in my 18 years of life, that one is my second favorite.

What story is my favorite, mine. It's a story stretched over five years, filled with parties, forgotten nights, drunken hook-ups, and meaningful relationships. Oh, and me breaking up a wedding. It's the emotional rollercoaster I had to ride to get the girl of my dreams. Yep, you read that right, the girl of my dreams. So, if you're willing, strap in and enjoy the ride. I might lose some of you, but for those of you who stay, you're a true hopeless romantic.
