Purple.

Gabriel had done it this time. I stared closer in the mirror and tugged on a strand of my short hair. My short, purple hair.

"Wow...he's so dead." I pulled my face away from the glass and shoved my glasses back on my face, flicking off the light as I stormed out of the bathroom and straight towards the stairs. "GABRIEL!" I shouted, hearing scrambling and blurred voices from the bottom of the stairs from my fellow teammates. Coming around the corner, I took in the scene. Sang sat innocently on the couch, her hand flying to her face when she spotted me, beside her was North and on the other side was Victor, both with shocked slightly amused expressions.

Luke and Nathan had their arms wrapped around their torsos, and their faces turning red with their muffled laughing. Behind them Gabriel was holding his hands over his mouth and laughing. Silas came around the corner and paused with his bowl of popcorn.

"Woah, Kota, what did you do to your hair?" He asked, plopping his hand on top of my head.

"You should be asking the would be stylist that. Personally I'd like to know myself before I walk over there, skin him alive, and cook him for dinner." I turned to the cowering brunette/blondish...thing, my face turning menacing.

"What on earth did you do Gabe?" Victor asked, crossing his arms. Sang stood up and walked over to me, inspecting my hair closer.

"Easy, easy, chill out guys! All I did was add some temporary dye to his shampoo, it'll be back to normal in no time." Gabriel assured.

"You better hope it will, if my mom finds out about this-"

"I'm home!" We heard, followed by a door slamming and my mom's footsteps. We froze.

"What do you want for din-" she paused with her bag on her shoulder and the mail in her hand, "er? Dakota Lee! What on earth have you done?" She put her hands on her hips. I flinched, simply pointing towards Gabriel. She turned to him.

"Gabreil Coleman! Did you happen to dye Kota's hair purple?" She asked calmly. That's right mom! Get him!

"Yes ma'am." He gulped.

"Why?"

"Uh, aesthetic effect?" He tried, sorry buddy, you're screwed.

"Oh Gabriel, you should know not to do this," she touched my head, inspecting my hair. I pulled my best 'why me' look, "green is so much more his colour." Wait, what?

Nathan and Luke broke into a fit of laughter again, Sang giggled, having the decency to at least try to stifle her amusement. I placed the back of my hand to my head and fell backwards into Silas's available arm.

"Why have you forsaken me mother?!" I wailed, feigning being a damsel.

"Dakota Lee! I did no such thing! You should be fine, the purple suits you fine, but you'll have to let Gabriel pick your outfit for tomorrow," tomorrow, Monday, school, oh God, "knowing you you'll mess it up. Oh and let me grab my camera." She exclaimed, running into the kitchen. The second she was gone I grabbed Gabe into a choke hold.

"Say it." I said over his frantic flailing.

"Ga! Uncle! UNCLE!" He screeched. I released him and stormed into my room. Slamming the door behind me.

"Dakota Lee! Get back out here and have your picture taken!" Kill me now.
