I'm Home Now
-----------°-------°------------
A giant, blue sea.
The sun shining, making the water shimmer.
Not a cloud in the sky...
A small island in the middle of the giant sea.
Small boats at the small dock; the water drifting in small waves against the wet tree.
Palm trees on on the beach, giving shadow in the scorching heat; leaves moving in the salty wind.
Cool water dripping down a damp stonewall, making rings on the shallow water in the well.
Voices, laughing and shouting.
A couple of young people, spread out on the beach, splashing water; smiling faces.
Warm sand...
Giggles and laughs. Childishly innocent...
I've never been as anyone else.
I've never been satisfied with what I've got, just wanted what I did not have.
Wanted to see other places, tired of what I had already seen.
And I sacrificed everything to get what I wanted.
My home, my friends.
Everything I knew.
My love.
But even when I had gotten what I wanted, it felt like something inside me was missing.
Even with my new powers, a part of me was gone.
I came to realize that the things that I wanted to get away from was the only things in my life I was sure of.
But I was gone.
I had sacrificed everything for my own, selfish needs.
And now I wanted it back like it used to be.
That everything would go back to normal.
I wanted to see you again, Sora. Not being near you made my sanity slip away bit by bit.
You found me.
I wanted to hold you near and never let you go, but that... thing, that selfish thing inside me stopped me...
I had made my choice, it told me. And no matter how much I tried to fight it, I couldn't break free.
So, Sora, I dreamt about you.
I dreamt that I told you that it wasn't me, it wasn't me that did this.
The... thing... inside me slipped, and I used all my powers to get to you.
You had grown so much. You seemed older and tougher, but your eyes were the same.
They looked at me just as usual.
But the thing inside me took over again, and I helplessly watched how you fought my body.
I thought I'd never get to see you after that.
And less, touch you.
Long, long after, I reached out a hand towards you. You took it, and I did what I had longing for so long.
Sora, I kissed you, and you kissed me back.
At that moment, I knew that many things would go back to normal.
And on the other hand, I knew that nothing would go back to normal.
Sora, I love you. I hope you feel the same for me.
I need you to.
A small, little house.
The sun setting, everything shining in shades of yellow and red.
The kitchen was small, two chairs and a table.
A happy, shouting voice was heard from the other room.
The window was open, a person standing by it.
He leaned his elbows on the window-frame and shook his platinum head.
"Sora! Come inside!" he shouted with a big smile on his face.
"Coming!" the brunette shouted back, getting out of the water.
The boy in the house watched how the other ran towards him.
"Hey Riku," the boy panted, standing on his toes and grabbing ahold of the window-sill.
Platinum-headed boy leaned down, entangling one hand in the other's wet hair.
"Hey..."
A little further out, and lips melted together.
I'm home now.
