Snow Fun
Sabrina looked out her bedroom window as it snowed. The snow blanketed the ground and looked like ice crystals. Sabrina looked towards her door when it creaked open. Rini, her older sister, walked in to the room. Rini was dressed in pink sweats and a pink sweatshirt.
"Come on Brina! Get dressed, we're gonna go outside," Rini said as she went to her sister's closet and pulled out a pair of matching blue sweatpants and a sweatshirt.
"What are we going to do?" Sabrina asked excitedly as she jumped down and hurriedly got dressed.
Rini smiled as she watched her baby sister get so excited, "We're going to play in the snow."
Sabrina ran downstairs, while Rini followed more calmly. When they reached the front hall, Rini helped her sister put her snowsuit and boots on.
"Where are you snow mittens?" Rini asked.
Sabrina smiled innocently, "Lucy got a hold of them."
"Sabrina…." Rini sighed.
"It wasn't my fault! She was bored!"
"Did you leave them laying out for her to get them?"
"Umm…maybe…"
"Then it is your fault."
Sabrina pouted as Rini reached into the closet and pulled out another pair of mittens, "Here." Sabrina took them and put them on. Rini got her snow stuff and put them on.
Sabrina jerked the door open and cold wind blew the snow in. Sabrina shrieked and shut the door. "It's cold!!!"
Rini laughed lightly, "Duh, of course it is. It is winter." Rini opened the door and shoved her sister out and closed it behind them. "What do you want to do first?"
"Build a snowman!!" Sabrina yelled as she looked around for the perfect spot to put him. She pointed to a flat area, "We'll put him there!"
Rini nodded and they hurried over to it. They started to roll the snow. Rini rolled the medium sized ball, Sabrina rolled the small sized ball and together they rolled the large sized ball. Rini helped Sabrina stack the snowballs. Then Rini went into the house and came back out with their father's top hat, some coal, and a carrot. Meanwhile, Sabrina looked for two similar sticks to make arms out of. Rini put the hat on the head and made the face, Sabrina put the carrot nose on and the arms.
Sabrina stepped back and let out a giggle, "It looks sorta like daddy!!!"
Rini looked, "It does, doesn't it?" Sabrina nodded.
Sabrina picked up some snow and threw it at her sister. "Hey!" Rini yelled as she ran after her sister, who took off running.
After several minutes, Rini caught Sabrina, lifting her up over her shoulder. "Put me down!!" Sabrina said laughing, as she playfully hit Rini on the back.
"Okay" Rini said as she dropped Sabrina in a mountain of snow. Sabrina shrieked as the cold washed over her.
"I'm cold" Sabrina said shivering.
"Lets go get some hot cocoa then" Rini said helping her sister up. Sabrina nodded as they headed to the house.
Once inside and changed into different clothes, Rini started to boil some water. Sabrina got two cups out of the cupboard. One cup had bunnies on it and the other had cats.
When the water was boiled, Rini poured it into the two cups and mixed in the hot cocoa mix. Sabrina took the cup with the kitties and Rini took the cup with the bunnies.
"Careful, its hot," Rini warned.
Sabrina nodded, "We should do that more often."
"Maybe we'll get the other girls to play next time," Rini said.
Sabrina nodded, "Yeah!"
When their parents got home later, Sabrina told them of their day.
