"Abysinnia!" Jessica cried to her friends as she skipped away along the sidewalk. School had just let out and she was on her way home to study up for a report due bright and early on Monday morning.

"Naa naa, mummy!" Jessica called into the house as she opened the door.

Her mother replied with an immediate "Hullo, Love! Dinner will be up at six thirty." Jessica dropped her messenger bag by the front door and ran to her room, immediately placing herself down in front of her computer.

After some thirty minutes of browsing, Jessica yawned. Her head nodded forward a couple times before she snapped upright, staring at her computer screen.

She had to blink multiple times to attempt to chase away the drowsiness- but had to blink again when she tried to read her screen.

There were no words. Well, there were words, but none that she could read. Each character morphed into another and began to form the shape of two eggs.

Jessica, quite convinced she was still asleep, leaned closer to her monitor. She examined the shape that the pixels were creating as best she could, her eyes shining in curiosity as the eggs combined into a single spinning egg. Very slowly, the egg began to spin out of the monitor, hovering in place until, hesitantly, her fingers shaking the slightest bit, Jessica reached out and grabbed it.

"Bloody awesome." she giggled to herself, still convinced this was a dream.

She cradled the egg to herself, stroking it gently. "This is..." It felt warm in her hands, smooth, almost soft, not at all like the egg shells that covered the eggs her mother would make for breakfast.

"So warm..." she whispered. Wait. Warm?
Jessica stared at the egg and- just as the egg began to quiver and a small crack formed in the shell- a sudden realization hit her.

"This isn't a dream."
