"Lily!"

Bruce glanced down, spotting the culprit who had bumped into him and caused him to spill his coffee. His irritated immediately died when he saw that the little girl's big brown eyes were filling up with tears, "It's fine. It was an accident."

It was then that he finally noticed the man who was with the little girl, "I'm sorry for your drink. I'll buy you another coffee." An accented voice offered and he found a second pair of hands help him wipe up the spilt coffee on the counter.

"Don't worry about it," Bruce said, satisfied that his heart rate was calm enough so he wouldn't have to leave the little coffee shop in a panic, "Accidents happen."

Green eyes.

Bruce clenched his hand, feeling his heartbeat speed up so abruptly that it startled him and the surprise must have shown on his face.

"Are you quite all right?" That accented tone now sounded concerned and Bruce was suddenly aware of the other male's close proximity. He was so close that the scientist could even smell his scent, "Sir?"

"HIM! HE MINE! HE MINE! HE MINE! HE HULK'S FOREVER!"

The voice of the 'Other Guy' stunned him and his grit his teeth, trying urgently to push the intense feeling to transform and to–

"Daddy! I think I broke him!" The sniffle of that little girl seemed to quickly settle the Hulk down enough for Bruce to regain his control.

"Sir!" The man's voice was too close for comfort and Bruce let out a few calming exhales and found it safe enough to respond.

"I'm fine," Bruce said, trying to keep his voice from shaking, "Sorry about that." He apologised, now staring at the man in a whole new light.

"You sure?" The man asked in that same concern and Bruce couldn't help but to smile, especially when the little girl with him stared up at him with those adorable wide eyes, "You didn't burn yourself?"

"Not a drop on me," Bruce answered, directing his smile to the red-haired girl, "Don't worry about it. It was simply an accident, okay?" His heart almost felt light when she smiled widely at him and nodded.

"Come on, I'll buy you another coffee," The man said again, insisting and Bruce relented, following the two back into the line of costumers, "The name's Harry, by the way. And this is my daughter, Lily."

"Bruce." The doctor simply offered, certainly not wanting to give away his identity with his surname. Unlike Stark, he liked being low-key and definitely wasn't fond of being in the public's eye.

"A pleasure to meet you, Bruce, though I'm sure you can't say the same." Harry said jokingly and Bruce found himself smiling again as he felt completely at ease for some strange reason.

It was only small talk and nothing would come of it, especially since Harry had a daughter and probably a wife also.

Nothing would come of this, as they were simply perfect strangers being polite.

Just simple strangers.
