"Edward, no." He looked over to his brother who rolled his eyes.
"Oh, come on Al, it's not that hard. I think if our dad could do it-"
Al sighed, one part in relief that Ed had removed "bastard" from his father's title, and the other part in exasperation.
"Absolutely not Edward!" Alphonse cheered to himself when he heard Winry. "You leave this to Alphonse!" she snatched the hammer out of his hands.
"What the hell! I'm doing this for you! If I can't build-"
"You can't build!" Alphonse and Winry exclaimed.
Edward grabbed the yanked the hammer out of his fiancé's hands, tossing it behind him, almost nailing Alphonse in the head, and grabbed her hands in his. "I'm doing this for you! For us! For the family we're going to build! If I can't do this for you, then-"
"Then you let your brother do it." Winry smiled sadly, wrenching one of her hands out of his hands, cupping his cheek, "I know how much you want to help, but you can barely fix the roof. Let alone a house. I'm not going to be crushed just because you're being stubborn. Let's face it, you're useless without alchemy." She patted his cheek lightly.
Alphonse kept from snickering at Ed's red face. Winry walked over to him, patting him on the shoulder. "Please, don't let him help with anything."
He laughed, walking up to the pile of wood, boards and nails, clapping his hands. "Don't worry, I won't."

AN2: Winry's not trying to be a bitch, just playing with the fact that Edward has a hard time now that he doesn't use alchemy!
