Dancing under the hot flashing lights. Her sweat rippling off her skin as the thumping music made her jump across the room. And yet, she had tears streaming down her face, humiliation shining in her eyes. She had been absolutely mortified earlier at school.
Accused of so many things; drugs, sex, self-harm. Only the last one was true.
But the music beckoned her. Despite her pain, she couldn't help but dance. Dance on, into the night. With her mind slowly fading into the music.
She stepped aboard the train, her headphones pushed into her ears, music blaring into her body.
Her stop came and stepped off. Looking up, she smiled at the building, framed by the moon. One of the floors was alight with flashing colours.
"Time to dance," she whispered, the wind carrying her voice up to the dance floor.
She froze, as she heard the wind whisper, "Time to dance." She lowered her arms and watched the girl with the teal hair as she entered the floor. Everyone else seemed to stop and disappear. They stared at each other, as the wind made their hair fly up around them.
"Would you like to dance?" The girl asked, holding out her hand.
She looked down, saddened.
"I depart dancing," she whispered, her twin-tailed pink hair flying up, her bangs blowing out of her face. Then, she leaned back, and started to tumble over the railing.
Her head was still hazy from the dancing. She could still feel the beat flowing through her, pumping through her veins. A single tear fell from her eye, falling into the sky. She smiled.
"Farewell, and take care," she muttered to the world.
"Luka!" Her eyes snapped open as she saw the teal haired falling after her.
"Miku?" she gasped. Miku took her hand and sobbed, "You will not depart dancing alone!" She smiled, her tears climbing the breeze to the moon.
"We shall both depart this world dancing! Together!" Luka smiled and nodded.
"Together."
They embraced as they continued descending towards their ends. Luka opened her eyes again and smiled.
In the window was not the reflection of them falling, but the reflection of them standing side-by-side.
"Farewell and take care," she murmured again.
I have been growing to love the song World's End Dancehall, but I have found it a bit confusing. So if this story is confusing, then it reflects the song perfectly.
This is my own interpretation of the song; suicide and Yuri.
Miku was basically the calm one until Luka jumped. Or fell, if that's a better word. Lol. :)
Hope you all liked. If you were greatly confused by this, then I feel as though I achieved something. XD
