I've decided to follow book!Romilda because, well, I just kind of want to? So, instead of her being sixteen, she's fourteen.

Anyway, this was… well, both interesting and difficult to write but, I enjoyed it.

Written for: The Completely Odd Challenge on HPFC forum.

Pairing: RomildaVane & Percival Dumbledore.

;-;

Romilda Vane sat in Dumbledore's office. The fourteen year old looked around at all the portraits of previous Headmasters and Headmistresses. She read over the names and to each one, she gave a personality to, that was, until, she came to one that said Percival Dumbledore.

"Enjoying making up personalities, Ms. Vane?" the portrait said, startling the girl.

"Oh, eh, I'm so very sorry, I-I thought you were all asleep," Romilda stuttered out, nibbling at her lip.

"It's quite alright, quite alright. Now, tell me, why are you here exactly? I've never seen you around here before, and I've seen my fair share of students being stuck here," the man said with a hearty laugh.

"Well, Mr. Dumbledore, sir, I gave a good friend of mine some love potion filled chocolates from a shop, to give to someone else but the friend accidentally ate them and now, well, it's quite a bit of a mess, if I'm being honest," Romilda smiled, "but I know it works, so I suppose that's good…"

The portrait laughed again, shaking his head, "What an interesting reason for being in the Headmasters office – certainly no one ended up here for a reason like that when I was Headmaster,"

"It truly was an accident; I only wanted him to notice me, maybe be my boyfriend for a bit, but I suppose he'll hate me from now on, won't he?"

"Not necessarily, he may be a bit wary, but I don't believe he will hate you. You know, Ms. Vane, you remind me of a very dear person to me, her name was Ariana, you probably wouldn't know her, but she too, was an interesting girl, much like you with only good intentions and a sweet, caring heart," Percival let out a sigh, signalling that this portion of the conversation was done, "well, that was a lovely little chat. Goodnight, Ms. Vane,"

"Sir, you do know it's only three in the afternoon, don't you?"

;-;

So yeah, I'm not happy with the ending but, there it is!

Also, this is the first Romilda/Percival story I've ever seen. Happy tears.
