Hello! I'm TauntingShadows, and this is Agape, a series of drabbles and oneshots that take place after Skyward Sword. I'll cut the chatter to a minimum for now, but I just want you to know (if you don't already) that Agape is a Greek word meaning "love". Also, if you didn't know, this is mainly ZeLink.
Thanks for reading and don't forget to review! :)
Dark.
Link never much liked the dark because things could hide in the dark without him knowing; things only he had seen while on his quest for Zelda; things that only the two knew of.
When the word dark would come to his mind, Link would instantly think of Ghirahim, the temples he had been in, and Demise. If he were laying in his dark bedroom alone at night, these thoughts would torture and tear him apart until he cried and cried and cried, and someone nearby -that had heard his wails- would come and calm him down.
This person was most often Zelda, who not only lived with the young hero, but was dating him as well. She spent most of her days writing new laws and documents with her father, often causing her to return home at a late time.
It hurt her terribly when she walked in the dark house at night, greeted with screams and cries of misery from Link. She would run instantly to his side in the room, climb onto the bed, and sing to him. If he didn't calm down then, she would light candles that she had purposefully placed all around the room, and his tears and screams would diminish.
Some nights she wouldn't sleep at all after his crying. Zelda would simply watch him sleep and cry herself, for it was she who caused him to feel so much pain. Occasionally, on these nights, Link would wake up and be the one comforting; stroking her hair, telling her a story, or by singing an old lullaby sweetly in her ear (usually causing her to laugh and blush).
They became a support system for eachother. If one were hurt or afraid, the other would help them. And eventually, Link was no longer frightened of the dark, for he knew that Zelda would always be there to care for him.
