The woods were quiet. She knew he had to be around here somewhere though. This place was fenced in so all she had to do was search the entire place; after all it was only a 2 mile square so how hard could it be?

She knew that it was hard she was only trying to fool herself. He could be watching her right now and she wouldn't know. He had an advantage in his senses. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. He was near.

--------

He sat in a tree and watched her try to move entirely silent, she did better than anyone else, even Cloud, had managed and for that he was proud of her. Most people wouldn't know she was there. That's why they were the only two left, she was getting much better. He saw her stiffen and knew she felt him. Good. She was learning to trust her senses, next he must teach her how to hide her reactions.

--------

She swung her gun in the direction she heard his chuckle. It gave her shivers of excitement to hear it but she knew this was not the time. She fired into the tree and almost managed to get him but at the last second he did a controlled dive out of his tree only to land on his feet and race toward her.

She ran trying to shoot him but he always managed to elude her shots. The foliage around them was turning brilliant shades of neon green, pink, and yellow. When she thought she had him pinned he raced to her and held his gun to her stomach and whispered in her ear "surrender?"

She shuddered again and glared at him but nodded anyway.

---------

Their friends came out of the surrounding area to see them congratulating Yuna on her almost victory and saying how lucky she was to get this far with him since none of them could.

Paine stood next to him and voiced her opinion.

"She has gotten much better with your help Vincent, we are all glad that you have joined us, although we never thought of paintball as Gunner training." she said with a smile.

He just nodded and smiled softly in her direction then turned back as Yuna ran into his arms.

"How did I do?" she asked in an almost breathless voice that gave him shivers. He looked into her bi-colored eyes and almost got lost but decided to answer question in an even voice. He even almost succeeded.

"You did wonderfully Yuna but next time don't waste so much amo, you may have ended up with a perfect shot only to not be able to take it." His voice was only a little breathless, surely he was the only one to notice.

She smiled at him with happiness dancing in her eyes and nodded. He knew she would listen and try to apply it in the next round.

Cloud spoke up in a voice that was maybe a bit louder than it needed to be "anyone up for round two?"
