Yuki-chan is my only friend.

I know that is a bold statement, but it is true.

Zabuza-sama is my master, and I am his tool. This is the only way, and we cannot be friends.

Never.

Because if we do become friends then Zabuza-sama cannot use me to my full potential.

And this can become disastrous.

All of his plans, never fully completed and this I cannot live with, so I will not become his friend.

His plans, his dreams are too important.

They are important to him, yes, but they are important to me as well, because with his dreams, he will need a tool to use, and I will become useful.

We found Yuki-chan almost as Zabuza-sama found me.

Yuki-chan was dirty and ragged, by her appearance we knew she was kept inside, and away from others.

She didn't have a name, so I decided to call her Yuki-chan.

When we stayed at that village, I played with Yuki-chan every day; I brought her food, and made sure she had clean water.

We spent days together.

Then it was time to leave.

Zabuza-sama told me to find Yuki-chan and to bring her with us.

I was so happy I forgot that was something a friend would do.

And we weren't friends we could never be friends.

When that kunai almost hit Yuki-chan when I had to use her for a replacement jutsu, she ran off, and I'm never going to see her again.

Yuki-chan was my only friend. No, I cannot say that now, Naruto-kun is my friend too.

I'm feeling warm, burning, everything is bright. I am frightened.

I've lived though the cold, the dark, I've survived that.

I'm sorry Yuki-chan, I'm never going to see you again, and I hope you live a good long life.

I'm sorry Naruto-kun; you had to kill someone with the same eyes. I hope you can live with yourself. You need to live, live and help others with your kind soul.

A-and Zabuza-sama, I have failed you. I'm a rusty, broken, useless tool. I should have never become your weapon.
