That Hideous Hammock.

This is taken for the line in the movie, 'And they should do something about that hideous hammock,"

As always sorry it's short, but 'BIG FIC' is taking for ever. If you're going to moan about it being short, please don't I get the picture.

Sure it was hideous, Sure it was old. But they loved it.

The hammock had been there since before the boys could remember, even Scott.

He would lie in it and read comics and magazines, on space travel and dream of one day travelling to the stars. He always wanted to and he got his dream.

John, would also lie there at night and look at the stars, but not because he wanted to visit them. He was fascinated by astrology, and constellations. But lying there when he was a kid he never dreamed he would be living up there six months a year.

Virgil, would stay closer to home, and listen to music while the wind gently pushed him backwards and forwards, while his brothers played in the pool.

And that's where Gordon preferred to be, in the pool. He never really had a head for heights and for some weird reason had a fear of the hammock. Jeff never understood it, but never bothered to ask, as he knew his son preferred the water, that's why he was put in charge of Thunderbird Four.

But being the youngest and the smallest, Alan, TinTin and Fermat would all fit in it at the same time, and play. Then as it got later and darker they would all for asleep, pretty much on top of each other. Then Jeff, Brains and Kyrano would come out, untangle their children and saying goodnight, take them up to bed.

So it may be old and falling apart but they all loved it, and not even Lady Penelope could change their minds.
