Disclaimer: I do not own anything HP related. It all belongs to JK Rowling and any other entities involved.

A/N: So, my best friend Milka suggested the word 'wrong', and after one broken computer, papers flying everywhere, I managed to write this story in a cafe, with Milka looming over my head. ) It kinda has spoilers, but I hope that you've already read Deathly Hallows. This story has SLASH in it people, so if you don't like it, run away, now. In the end, I proudly present to you, my fave new ship, Teddy Lupin/James Potter. R&R, as usual, and I'll write more. :)

Wrong

Teddy knows it's wrong. He'd known it was wrong ever since the first time James kissed him.

He tries to tell James why they shouldn't be doing what they're doing, but the young Potter just laughs it off. In a way, Teddy is glad.

Teddy is older than James. Seven years. James is a rising Quidditch star, young and handsome, chased by every girl in the country. And yet, he chose Teddy.

Every time Teddy shags him, he watches James close his eyes in pure bliss and moan, and Lupin feels as though he's on top of the world. He knows that he's in love with the other man; knows that Jamie loves him back, like a true Gryffindor- fiercely and devotedly. But, Teddy can't help but feel guilty every time he looks at his Godfather- Harry.

Harry had done so much for him; raised him and took care of him. Treated him like his own child. And this is how Ted thanks him- by screwing his son.

Teddy can sit for hours, just watching James. He notices how his hair gleams in candle-light, deep, rich red. How James frowns in concentration when he's polishing his broom or how his nose crinkles when his parents tease him about the girls that are following him everywhere. How dimples appear in his cheeks when he smiles at Teddy, his eyes full of love.

James wants to tell his parents about them, but Teddy isn't ready. James reassures him that they won't be mad, that they'll be happy for them. And for a moment, Teddy believes him.

--

Teddy wakes up in the middle of the night and watches James as he sleeps. The steady rise and fall of his chest, the peaceful face and untidy hair. Somehow, James knows that he's watching him, his eyes flutter open and he grins sleepily at Teddy. "Love you", he murmurs, his voice hoarse, and promptly falls back to sleep.

Yes, Teddy knows it's wrong. Because they've grown up together. Because Harry may hate him. He knows that people will talk and say some really stupid things about them, about him. However, as he trails his finger lightly down James's stubbled cheek, he finds he doesn't care anymore.

Whispering a soft "Love you, too", he falls asleep, dreaming of happiness, a pair of bright, brown eyes and freckles.

In the end, all they have is now.

The End
