Authors Note: Written for Lamia of the Dark's challenge in the Bellatrix Lestrange: The Dark Lords Most Faithful. Basically, I had to write a 300-700 word crossover with Harry Potter and another fandom. I chose SoA.

Summery: Based on the song "I saw God today" by George Strait, Tig anxiously a waits the birth of he and Bellatrixs children. Also, please forgive me if I get Tig to be a bit OOC. It is only for the purpose of this story.

I saw God today

Chapter 1

Outside St. Thomas Hospital, 5:07 P.M., June 15th, 2005

To say that Alex 'Tig' Trager was an anxious man would be an understatement. He had been by his wife, Bellatrix Black Trager, side for 18 hours straight. She had gone into labor early in the morning and he needed a smoke, coffee, and maybe a shot of Jack.

I just walked down the street to the coffee shop

had to take a break

I'd been by her side for eighteen hours straight

5 months earlier, when they had found out she was going to have twins, he had known it might take a while for her to give birth, but he hadn't expected it to last this long.

I saw a flower growing in the middle of the sidewalk

pushing up through the concrete

like it was planted right there for me to see

the flashin' lights, the honkin' hornsall seemed to fade away

in the shadow of that hospital at 5:08

I saw God today

As he was walking towards the nearest coffee shop, he noticed something on the sidewalk. Between the cracks, was a beautiful flower, pushing up through the concrete.

"That's a nice flower." he said to himself as he looked at his watch and saw that it read 5:08 P.M.

I've been to church

I've read the book

I know He's here, but I don't look

near as often as I should

Yeah, I know I should

His fingerprints are everywhere

I'd just slow down to stop and stare

opened my eyes and man I swear

I saw God today

It might surprise you that if you asked Tig if he believed in God, he would say yes. He may not have been to church since he turned 20, but he still believed in God. He had read the Bible, and he knew that there was a higher power, but he had grown distant from the church at 18 and had stopped going at 20.

I saw a couple walking by they were holding hands

Man, she had that glow

yeah I couldn't help but notice she was starting to show

I stood there for a minute takin' in the sky

lost in that sunset

a splash of amber melted in the shades of red

As he walked into the coffee shop, he noticed a young couple there as well. He couldn't help but notice that the girl was starting to show. It actually warmed his black heart. Today was a day of miracles.

As he was about to order his coffee, his phone rang.

"Mr. Trager, you need to get back here now. Your wife has given birth." said the nurse.

He rushed out of there so fast, he didn't even get his coffee.

I got my face pressed up against the nursery glass

She's sleeping like a rock

My name on her wrist wearing tiny pink socks

She's got my nose, she's got her mama's eyes

My brand new baby girl

She's a miracle

I saw God today

He was by Bellatrixs side as the nurse brought the two bundles of joy to them. One of them was wrapped in a blue blanket, the other in a pink blanket.

"What do you want to name them Bella?" he asked as they took them.

"For the girl, Isabelle Black Trager." she said softly as she held the baby close, "And the boy will be called Alexander Black Trager."

"Alright." Tig replied as he held his new baby boy in his arms. Yeah, he might not be the best of fathers, but he would try his best.

That day, Alex 'Tig' Trager, saw God today.
