Dance:

Tina hated seeing Mike so upset. The fight with his dad had taken its toll and now he had become distant from the others and didn't attend glee several times in a week. One day he was in the schools dance room furiously dancing. Every movement was filled with anger. Tina stepped into the room quietly. She wasn't quiet enough. Mike stopped to look at his girlfriend, panting from his vigorous practice.

"What are you doing here?" He sounded annoyed. It didn't affect Tina, she could understand his anger. She put her bag down.

"Everyone's been worried about you especially yours truly" her smile seemed to soften him up. Mike sat on one of the bleachers and she sat beside him.

"I'm fine," he said as if he knew what his girl friend was going to ask before she asked it.

"No your not Mike this thing with your dad is eating you up" Tina sweetly placed her hand on his. He got up abruptly and faced her.

"Tina you don't get it, your dad is laid back and friendly and he believes that your dreams of being famous can happen. But I was stuck with uptight and cold and a father who doesn't believe in me." He paused "He doesn't even love me." That last part hit Tina hard. Mike turned away; he didn't want Tina to see him like this. But sure enough she got up and said

"Your wrong Mike your dad does love you he just has … well frankly has a stick up his ass." Mike wanted to laugh at least chuckle but he could bring up any emotion.

"Maybe he was rite, " Mike murmured.

"What?" Tina asked confused as she studied her boy friends face.

"Maybe I should quit dancing." He responded.

"Mike you cant it's your dream-"

"Yeah well my dream Tina is tarring my family apart" Mike spoke defensively.

"I know I don't know what your going through and I couldn't possibly have any idea how you feel but you cant just comp out you just have to join the dance and not let this thing with your father hold you down." Mike looked at his girlfriend for several long moments.

"I'm sorry Tina I'm not as strong as you" and with that he left. Tina felt defeated. However she had an idea that she prayed would help her boyfriend.

It wasn't until Tuesday that Mike came back to Glee. Everyone could see how upset he was. Will had given Tina permission to sing a song. She stood before everyone.

"I want to dedicate this song to my boyfriend Mike who is going through a ruff patch."

Mike looked up at her.

"I love you Mike and I hate seeing you like this. Your sitting out and your letting your hurt and anger trap you. This is a song I hope will give you something to think about." Tina opened her mouth to sing and she was singing a beautiful rendition of I hope you dance by Lee Ann Womack. Slowly Mikes frown was turning into a touched smile. He looked at his girlfriend who truly loved him. As she got to the middle of the song Mike got up walked over to her and waltzed with his girlfriend as she sung. Everyone was enjoying this. Rachel had put her head on her boyfriends shoulder, Santanna had locked pinkies with Brittany and kissed her on the cheek and Kurt and Blaine snuggled up to each other. Tina had finished singing and she and her boyfriend passionately kissed.

"Your rite Tina and I love you for it. I can't just let these feeling keep me down I just have to join the dance" Mike looked deep into Tina's beautiful brown eyes.

"It will all be ok Mike I promise." She kissed him once again.
