A/N: what if Lauren proved to Joey she never bought any alcohol the night of the break up?
A/N2: little bit taken from the show, no copyright intended just for a piece of my mind for happiness! but as usual happy ending!
Lauren walked into the queen vic looking at Joey who was sadly nursing a pint, she walked over slowly, before speaking "Hi." She looked at him smiling sadly. Joey looked up quickly hearing her soft voice before looking down. Lauren sighed sadly "Look, just hear me out, alright?" Joey sighed looking into his pint shaking his head.
Lauren sighed before speaking "last night I messed up, big time." Joey sighed before looking up at her shaking his head. "Lauren, I ended it last night, yeah, and you don't even remember. What's that say to you, ey?" Lauren looked at him tearfully. "I'm sorry." Joey shook his head. "Yeah, well its not me that you should be apologising to is it, it's Lucy. You accused her of spiking your drink, You don't do that to your mates, Lauren."
Lauren frowned before her eyes widened "No, Joey that's right i remember she did. She did this to us!"
Joey looked at her shaking his head. "Will you listen to yourself, please, Lauren!" Lauren frowned "That spiteful cow! She's wanted this all along."
Joey sighed running his hand along his face shaking his head "you know what Lauren, I'm sick of all these excuses, yeah? You've only got yourself to blame this time."
Lauren shook her head "No, Joey I promise I never drank, I never even went to the bar! Lucy went I was on the phone I remember, she said she'd get it for me! I asked for a lemonade." She looked at him with wide eyes. "Joey please, you've gotta believe me! Look, Joe, I made a choice, it was booze or you and it would be you everytime!" She looked at him with tears falling down her face.
Joey looked at her with a sigh "babe, we're over accept it." Lauren looked at him "No! What if I can get proof, ey?"
Joey looked at her "And how you gonna do that?" She smiled at him sadly before looking to the bar and seeing Tracey. She went over, Joey watching her every move with a frown. "Trace, did I buy anything from the bar last night?" Tracey looked at her with a slight frown "erm, now that I think about it, I don't think you did." Lauren sighed "did Lucy order a lemonade with vodka?" Tracey looked at her shifting slightly "um, she did say lemonade at first and then she said add a double vodka." Lauren smiled gratefully "Thanks Trace." Tracey nodded before heading back over to Joey, Joey hearing the conversation between the two.
Joey sighed and looked at her "Babe, I'm sorry." She smiled sadly "I told you I was telling the truth!" He nodded pulling her into a soft kiss, before hugging her. "I'm really sorry, i'll never believe anyone over you again."
She kissed him deeply seeing Lucy walk in, they broke the kiss as Lucy walked over, fake smiling. "So you guys sorted it out then?" They both nodded big smiles on there faces, Lucy smirked "Yeah until you get off your face again." Lauren shook her head "No, that won't happen. Unless 'someone' spikes me again." Lucy raised a brow "your blaming me again?"
Joey looked at Lucy, taking Lauren's hand in his as they both stood up. "I know Lucy."
Lucy looked at him "you believe her?" He shook his head sadly. "I actually didn't which I should of. But we got proof from the bar lady who served you. You asked for a lemonade before asking her to put in a double vodka." Lucy looked at him with wide eyes. "She's an alcoholic it would've happened anyway." Lauren shook her head "I stopped. For Joey, we love each other. Get over it."
Joey looked at Lucy "Truth hurts." He looked at Lauren smiling at her before placing his lips on hers, there lips meshing together as Lucy walked off angrily slamming the doors of the queen vic.
All they needed was each other, everything would be okay.
