summary: my take on what Sara is thinking and what she needs
Sara's Needs
Sara had started to open up to him telling him about her parents and how she lived in foster homes most of her life and that her Mum Killed her Dad things were getting on top of her. She knew she was pushing Grissom away then again all she did was push the people that mattered the most to her away, she couldn't help it she has always been a very emotional person that's what made her so special, she cares about things, she passionate about her work. That's why Grissom liked her so much both had commitment issues although when Sara wants something she'll fight for it.
As she was lying trapped under the car all she could think about was her past she needed to know what drove her mum to kill her dad she needed to know where she came from and her background, what her childhood was like but most importantly she needed to know about her brother she hadn't seen him since the social worker took her away. Then there was Grissom she had finally got the man she had always wanted they were happy.
Grissom hadn't been the same since Sara left but he knew more than anyone that she had stuff to deal with all he wanted to do was protect her, keep her safe but it wasn't fair on her for her to stay she needed some time to figure out what was wrong, Grissom knew for some years now Sara wasn't herself she had the ordeal of the mental patient then a few rough cases that reminded her of her past, the drink driving and finally the kidnapping in the miniature murder case.
She tried so hard to stay, to stay from hem, for them but she just couldn't, there is one thing she knew she needed to do before she died that was to speak to her mum then she could move on with her life, get back to Grissom and the way things used to be.
