Lane looked up as Tori burst into his office.

"Ho," he suggested not sure what Tori was getting at, "It your turn now. That would be He"

"No HA, HA"

"Oh so HO, HO?"

"You broke the school rules at Hollywood Arts," Tori explained.

Meanwhile Jade yawned. She was really tired. Just then Cat came in

"How did I do that," Lane asked

"Section 4 page 32 paragraph 10," Tori said, "at no point is a staff allowed to go back on his or her word."

Accidentally Cat knocked down Sikowitz's prize statue.

"I never went back on my word," Lane said

"Oh yes you did. When you called me to the guidance office you said I wasn't in trouble"

Jade laughed. When Sikowitz came in he was very angry.

"Who knocked down my statue?"

Cat gulped

"Oh," Lane said, "I see what you're saying"

"Good"

"But after all you did hurt Jade"

"I did," Jade said. Every student gasped.

"Jade-"

"No Cat," Jade said, "I did it"

"I did not," Tori said, "and if I did it was an accident"

"How do you explain the eye?"

"That's not the point. The point is you can't go back on your word."

"Jade come up here," Sikowitz demanded.

Jade walked to the front of the room.

"Now you have a choice," Sikowitz told her, "three days of detention or three strokes with the sorority paddle"

Jade nearly died laughing.

"Okay," Lane said

"Okay?"

"Tori I know you. When you're wrong you are the first person to admit you're wrong. I don't know what happened with Jade's eye but I believe you when you say you didn't do it. I also know that my hands are tied because of what the rulebook says. So because of that I will withdraw what I said earlier"

"I'll take the strokes," she said.

She didn't even flinch.

"Now you may sit back down"

Jade went and sat back down.

"How did you do that," Beck asked, "take it without even flinching?"

"Didn't you notice my hinny looks bigger today," Jade whispered back"

"Yeah so?"

"I have play practice and I have to play a large-butted woman for the show. I'm wearing a fake butt. I didn't even feel it."

"Brava Ms. West," Sikowitz said, "ten points on your next report card for creativity"
