She tried to hate him. She did, she really did. He was the one who destroyed everything she has ever cared about – her friends, her research, Thor… She tried to tell herself he was a monster, an abomination, as frozen as an ice cube, who couldn't ever express a single emotion, could never love, never care. But she was wrong. Every time a frozen hand touched softly the skin of her face and made her feel strange things on her insides and almost tremble – almost – she lets herself hope that perhaps he could care. One day.
