His little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.

Kate slowly walked into the bullpen, she had a huge smile on her face. Today was her birthday, her family had had a party for her last night, her mother, father, two brothers, and even her cousin had been there. It had been the most wonderful birthday she had ever had, Abby had stopped her in the hallway a few minutes ago and given her a lovely necklace. As she sat down at her desk there was a beautiful single red rose lying on her desk.
"So Kate, who's the rose from?" asked Tony as he sat down at his desk.
"I don't know, and why is it any of your business?"
"Sorry, just trying to find out who your secret admirer is." he said with one of his trademark smiles.
She through a wad of scrap paper at him, and hit right on the forehead.
"Ouch, that hurt Kate." he stated as he through the paper in the garbage can.
Kate found a small envelope under the rose, she open it to find a card, it read:
-Katie-
You're worth more than all the roses in the world.
Hope this is a reminder of your everlasting smile.
Happy birthday.
She smiled at the signature at the bottom of the card:
Leroy Jethro Gibbs
She lifted the rose to her face so she could smell the rose, she took a deep breath, and it smelled as good as it looked.
She set the rose and the card the shelf next to her desk and started on her paper work.
