A/N: Hi again. It's a little early for Christmas one-shot but I don't know if I have time to post over the holiday (when family's around my parents don't like me using the computer.) So it's going up and up now rather than wait and be late. Capt. planet gets a name. The characters aren't mine. And...
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS CAPTAIN PLANET SOMEONE HUMOR ME AND LEAVE A REVIEW ABOUT CAP'S NAME. JUST COPY AND PASTE FROM THE WIKAPEDIA FOR ALL I CARE! Please?
This was Gaia's first Christmas.
Now, the Planeteers had been on Hope Island for around three years but this year they insisted she join in on the celebration. Who was she to refuse?
For the gifts she made an ornament for the tree out of each of their elements. She admired them on the dark Christmas night.
Kwame had gotten a tree sculpted out of sand from the beach. He'd thanked her profusely and hung it high on the tree.
She was a little more proud of Wheeler's gift. His ornament was made of pure glass (from the same sand as Kwame tree) with a little fire trapped inside. It would take on the shape of whatever Wheeler desired. Gaia had watched as the fire took shape of Phoenix when he and Linka kissed underneath the mistletoe.
Linka's ornament was strikingly similar to Wheelers with the swirling mini tornado inside. Oddly enough the wind inside her ornament perfectly reflected Wheelers during the kiss. The same beautiful and detailed Phoenix. Gaia had laughed along with the rest of the Planeteers when Linka blushed and looked away. Only Gaia knew they Wheeler and Linka would eventually give into each other's advances.
Gi had gotten a dolphin made of forever flowing water. When she looked through it and ocean sunset somewhere in the world came into view. She'd squealed joyfully and hung it as high on the tree as she possibly could which, due to her short nature, was about a foot below Kwame's ornament. Gi had pouted until Kwame lifted her onto his shoulders and allowed her to place the dolphin higher up. She giggled and hugged him happily.
Ma-Ti was probably the most difficult. He was 17 now and rapidly growing slightly childish "heart" power.
She'd decided to give him a new ring for Christmas with the power of life. He decided to hang his heart ring on the tree to show off his new adulthood.
Gaia now examined the tree she had lit in the half moon light. Another ornament, one that she had remembered the Planeteers placing on the tree, hung at her about her hip level. Upon closer inspection she noted it was a shiny white seashell with the word "Fiyeraia" carved into its flawless surface.
"Fiyer… Fiyero?" She whispered to herself "That's Captain Planet's-"
"Do you like it?" The voice was husky and thick. She recognized it but never heard it so... So... Attractive.
All she could do was nod her head dumbly.
"I hoped you would." Lips connected gently with her neck.
Captain Planet expected her to move away slowly and shut them down with a smile and gentle lecture. She did the exact opposite. She encouraged him by tilting her head away and granting him more access to the sensitive skin of her neck. He moved his lips to her ear.
"Would you like to face me?"
Her response was immediate she captured his lips roughly and threw her arms around his neck.
The blue elemental moved his hands up and down her back, careful to avoid anywhere personal and break the spell she was under. She tried to undo his belt buckle and he needed to stop her.
"Not tonight, love." She gave him a strange look, her eyes reflecting a little hurt and... Well a little disappointment but it vanished when she saw only caring in his eyes. She knew this wasn't the right time after all they had forever. They walked hand in hand to her cot. She laid comfortably with her head on his chest.
"Merry Christmas Gaia."
"Merry Christmas," she paused. "Fiyero."
Did you really think I'd write anything but Cap./Gaia? Tiny sprinklings of other stuff though…
