Chapter 1
"W-what do you mean you're moving, Nozomi-chan?" asked a tear-filled young girl. "My parents... They got a job transfer to America.. Nicocchi, I'm so sorry" Nozomi replied.
Nozomi Tojo had met Nico Yazawa one incredibly hot summer at the beach. Nico was building a sandcastle, and as Nozomi was going to run into the water, she accidentally kicked down Nico's castle. Shocked by what she'd done, Nozomi offered to help the angry little girl fix her sandcastle. Nico, although upset by her work getting ruined, couldn't help but be intrigued by the mysterious green-eyed girl. They became friends right there.
"I thought we'd be friends forever!" sobbed Nico
"We will be friends forever! I'll come back and see you again, I promise!" Nozomi cried. The girls said their goodbyes, as the sun was setting in the park. Nozomi was determined to keep her promise, she'd make sure she'd never make Nico upset again. Nicocchi... I'll definitely see you again... I promise. Nozomi vowed. I promise...
