Distance
Sometimes, Jade Harley really hated living on an island. Sure, the scenery was beautiful and she had Bec... but sometimes, she wished for more. Isolation was her greatest fear, and it was all but a reality; if something were to happen to Bec, she would be all alone. She was glad that she at least had her Pesterchum friends to keep her company. Speaking of Pesterchum... She opened her lunchtop and clicked the Pesterchum icon. Let's see, it was around 6 PM here... so what time would it be there...
Jade counted on her fingers for a minute, trying to figure it out. She'd never been any good at math. Grandpa had been a lover of the subject and tried to pass on his skill, but it hadn't worked. Sighing, she gave up the pursuit of the equation's answer and turned her attention back to the computer. However late it was, wherever they were, maybe someone would be online. Jade smiled, as she saw a familiar name: tentacleTherapist. Then, seeing that the mood was set to Rancorous, she decided that Rose probably shouldn't be bothered today. Scrolling down her chums list, she saw another name, a name that sent a dizzying rush through her stomach: turntechGodhead.
Having grown up somewhat feral and solitary, Jade knew little to nothing about relationships. She knew she loved Bec and she knew she loved her grandpa, but beyond that, she was at a loss. So, when these feelings came out of nowhere, she was quite confused, and even startled.
All of a sudden, he wasn't just a cool guy.
All of a sudden, he wasn't just her friend.
All of a sudden, he was... more.
She was hopelessly in like with Dave Strider, and had no idea what to do.
