Roddy St. James walked into the hospital room. Rita Malone was laid out on an examination table, unconscious. Her face was covered by an oxygen mask to help her breathing return to normal. The doctors placed her half-frozen body in a tub of warm water to warm her up.
"I'm sorry, sir. This is a restricted area, and you must leave now." A doctor ushered him out of the room.
"No! The cold is the only thing keeping her alive! You have to get her out of there right now!" Roddy yelled.
"Please step out of the room, sir."
"No! I have a high degree in medical school and you're gonna kill her if you keep her in there!" Roddy yelled again. At that moment, the heart rate monitor went flat. The doctors pulled RIta's body out of the water and used the heart jumpstart(I have no idea what they call it) to start her heart back up.
"Clear!"
ZAP!
"Clear!"
ZAP!
Roddy watched in despair as they used the electricity to help her heart come back to life. A tear of fear rolled down his cheek and a sense of bitter loss overtook him. Rita still wasn't breathing. Roddy sank to his knees and hoped for a miracle.
