*Author's Note* I own the plot, narrator, and children. I do not own Shannon Moore or anything to do with his wrestling career (including WWE, TNA, or WCW)
There was once a chance I didn't take. One I couldn't take. I was offered the chance to go to wrestling school. I had done some backyard wrestling, but never anything in a real ring. I loved wrestling and wanted to take the chance and go. But I couldn't. I was pregnant.
I had moved to Cameron, North Carolina, five months ago. On my first day of school I met Shannon Moore. He was a loner. It was during lunch when I realized I hadn't brought any lunch money. I headed back upstairs when I heard a guitar. I looked into the row of lockers and saw him. He was strumming the guitar and singing softly. I blushed and walked over to him. We had bonded instantly. Over the next five months we had gone through drama with other people but had never argued. After two months of being friends he admitted to me he liked me. I was astonished. I had never noticed. We began dating and two months later I was pregnant. When I was offered the chance to train to be a pro wrestler, no one knew I was pregnant. No one except me. I knew that turning it down would pose many questions. As soon as I said no to the promoter, Shannon was hovering over me, questioning me. He had also been offered and of course he had accepted. I would have made sure he accepted even if he had known. I had told him as soon as we were in private and he wanted to go tell the promoter he couldn't train as well.
Five months later, Shannon left to train in Atlanta, Georgia. I had moved into an apartment that same month and my father had moved away. I'm still not sure where he moved to. My parents were divorced and I had never been close with him. I was six months pregnant and on my own. It was hard but Shannon made sure to call me at every opportunity. On September 26, our daughter, Briley Kay Moore was born. Shannon was lucky enough to be home when I went into labor. Shannon had to go back to training the next day and I was back to being alone, except this time I had my daughter. In November, Shannon was offered another opportunity. This time he signed to a WCW contract.
As most fans know, Shannon went on to become champion, work with WWE, and is currently in a tag team on TNA. At home, he is an amazing husband and father to my three beautiful children.
