Pairing: L x Light

...

"Ryuzaki!"

L slammed into Light, causing him to cry out his name in pure ecstasy.

The young detective collapsed on top of his lover, each panting from exhaustion.

Both men lay there, sprawled out on the bathroom tiles, chests heaving and breaths shallow.

"How long has it been?" Light wondered to himself, "How many months have passed, since L and I first did this, together, all that time ago...?"

Ryuzaki lifted his chin. Black, matted hair stuck to his face with sweat.

"Light-kun," he coed, "is something the matter?"

The brunette tilted his face to the side, trying to avoid eye contact. He was blushing uncontrollably, and his mouth was pursed into a tight, un-amused expression.

"It's just that..." he began, eyes still fixed on the wall, "even though we've made love so many times... well... we've never kissed. Not once..."

An adorable smile spread across L's face. "Is that all?" he chuckled.

Light swung his head back around, eyes now fixed on his partner.

"Ryuzaki! It's not funny!"

"Yes it is."

"NO, IT'S NOT!"

Light averted his eyes once more, cheeks now redder than ever.

"I know it's silly..." he muttered, "but I feel like if you really love me, then you would've kissed me by now..."

L smiled again. "Is that really all you want?" he asked with a smirk, "Despite everything we've been through, all you want is A KISS?"

Light knotted his eyebrows. "IS IT REALLY SO SILLY?!" He demanded.

The seme sat up slightly, and reached a shaking hand out to tuck a stray piece of his uke's hair behind his ear.

"If that's all you wanted, Light-kun," he whispered sweetly, "then all you had to do was ask."

And with that, L gently pressed his lips onto those of the other man; the one person he would do absolutely anything for.

At first, the mouth on the receiving end was stiff. But as it began to loosen up, L pushed his tongue into Light's mouth.

They shared a brief kiss, as their tongues danced together, and each tasted his lover's mouth.

Eventually, L broke off, leaving only a thread between them. Each panted, gasping for air.

Light smiled. "Thanks." He said, his entire face now a deep red, "I feel better now."

A kiss. That was all it was.

It wasn't sex. In fact, there was no touching at all.

So to most, something as short as that, wouldn't be considered 'the most intimate action' that a couple can share.

But to Light, it was paradise.

Short and sweet, simple and clean. Yes, it WAS pure intimacy.
