A/N: This first drabble is dedicated to my dear friend and talented author and artist ChampionTheWonderSnail. Her stories are always so clever and humorous; they're a great inspiration and always cheer me up. If you like Dragon Age, you have to check out her stuff. You won't regret it! ;)

I posted this on tumblr first and then ended up tweaking it a bit before posting it here. So, if you follow me there, you might have read this already.

How Shepard got her fancy quarters

"Mr. Moureau, we need some advice on rebuilding the Normandy."

"All right, Lawson. Shoot."

"About the Captain's quarters, what do you think Shepard will need?"

"What do you mean 'Shepard will need'? She's a marine. It's the same Shepard you're bringing back, right?"

"Yes. So, what should we get her?"

Joker's eyebrows shot up. Was Miranda serious about this shit? "Oh, you know marines, right?"

"No, I don't."

She doesn't? Well, in that case… "We like to live large. Build her a penthouse and she should be fine."

"A penthouse? In a spaceship?" Miranda scratched her forehead, a worried look on her face. "I'll have to talk to our engineers and see if they can make this work."

"Yeah, you do that," Joker replied, trying to keep his amusement from showing on his face.

"And, say we build this… penthouse, how should we furnish it?"

"As I said, Lawson, marines like to live large and Shepard… she's a hard one to please. King size bed – that's a must-have. Big bathroom, too." He eyed Miranda and she was still paying close attention to him, probably making mental notes. It was hard not to laugh, especially after he started to get creative. "Minibar, skylight."

Miranda was still nodding at him, an all-business look on her face.

"Fish tank. Make it big," he added and she frowned. Had he gone too far now?

"Very well, Mr. Moreau. I'll see what we can do. Thank you for your help."

"Any time. Oh, and, hey! Lawson! Don't forget my leather seats!"
