It was evening and the sound of music and merriment still echoed around the Black mansion, although one woman was not happy. She paces back and forth in her bedroom, Niagara falls flowing freely from her eyes "How could she? "How could she marry him and leave me here with mother and father? How could she say she loves me but go to him?" With a loud sob Cissy threw herself onto her bed not caring that her maid of honour dress was being crumpled. It was just after her oldest sister and her lover, Bellatrix, had taken her wedding vows to Rodolphus Lestrange.

She had hated that boy since she first clapped eyes on him in the Slytherin common room but now that he had just married her Bella she felt her heart swell with a hate so intense it eclipsed everything else. Tall and dark and charming he had made her sister's head turn yet it was Cissy's bed she climbed into every night. Remembering her sister's soft touch, her perfume as it enveloped her and the dark expressive eyes made Cissy whimper in both pain and pleasure. Pain at losing Bella but pleasure at the memories. She adored her dark sister and would willingly die for her. Just then a knock sounded on her door and mother's voice floated through "Narcissa, it is your sister's wedding day now come downstairs this instant". With a barely audible sigh she rose and with a quick flick of her wand fixed her appearance. "If I cannot be my Bella's any more than I shall never love another" She whispered it to herself and she would keep the vow until the day she died
