Shieldless
Orange lights flickers in the dusty pink sky
The sun, a glimmering golden starts to fall
The cool summer wind whips moss green leaves by
'I wonder what started this all'
A man stood huddled to avoid the cold
His heart sank with the sun
He felt himself lose his hold
'I had hoped he wouldn't run'
He had waited hours
He had down so beaming
Through the summer showers
'Did that kiss even have meaning?'
He remembered, why wouldn't he?
It was hard to forget
Sirius's sudden urge to flee
His look of disgusted regret,
Remus dug his hands into his hair
He would not shed a tear
Life wasn't fair
Weakness was his only fear
He wiped his eyes roughly
Staining his cuffs, he began to walk
Damn good for nothing puppy
He'd suggested they meet here to talk
It hadn't been relatively good
Just a quick pressing together of mouths
Probably because Remus is a prude
Small, but big enough to cause rows
Sirius had introduced his new girlfriend the very next day
Proclaiming she was 'it'
Remus smiled, he laughed, but he didn't stay
The streetlights were now fully lit
James had flashes him a sympathetic look
Rumour has it he clobbered Sirius when he was gone
Remus reached home, he hung his coat on the hook
He got the letter sometime after dawn
It was simple and quick
'Meet me at the bus stop okay?'
Remus put the kettle onto the flick
It was a tragic end to his day
He had been stood up
He had went shieldless for the fall
He poured his tear into a chipped cup
When it comes to it, Love ruins us all.
Remus left the tea on the table
And headed to the loo
He stared to the mirror, he didn't look completely stable
'Why do I depend so much on you?'
A fling, an affair
Remus took off his required work blazer
He couldn't bring himself to even care
Shaking, he reached a hand out for the razor
Red seeped from his veins
The pain radiates from his core
His troubles seeped down the shower drain
Remus Lupin, pale and lifeless, hit the floor
A/N Wow! Really wasn't expecting that. Sorry guys! Some sad news. Im im putting a few stories on hiatus and finishing a few were they stand.
Bowling- finished, I know I said I would write a halloween chapter but that fell through.
Eyeliner, Leather and highschool- finished, I think I left it in a good place right? The ending wasn't horrible right?
Im officially putting all my stories on hiatus, except for one, so I'm putting up a pole, which story do you want me to continue?
i know I only recently started them, but it's getting really hard and life isn't the easiest, writing is my escape so I don't want to put pressure on that and ruin it all for me. Plus I'm writing my own actual fiction book (at the age of thirteen I know) and I want to concentrate on that, but I will post odd random one-shots and if I have time or inspiration I may add a chapter to a random fic.
