It was the aftermath of destiny. Destiny meant the end but there was a hereafter involved. Death was strewn across the wasteland like a shipwreck soon forgotten. The air was dusty and contrary to the dismal surroundings, the sky was a perfect blue. Heaven couldn't be affected at all. Heaven couldn't care less.

Chloe leant against a large rock wearing black slacks covered in dust and a blue blouse that was ripped. There was a large blot of dried blood covering her blouse.

Red and Blue. Chloe almost laughed at the irony.

She leant over her love she wanted to save. Her love was the be all and end all of the universe. She wanted to save him and the world too. But Davis was puppet, moved however they felt like and he fought against the strings.

She wanted to remember this day instead of going on like she usually did, fresh clean start and the past put behind her. This year was a struggle but it was worth it. She wanted to still live and not close herself off from the world. Her sensitivity heightened, she became an empath who welcomed the chance to feel others pains and joys.

While others mourned at losses, Chloe had a reason to finally smile. One movement of Davis's hand on hers and she knew the sky was bright for his heartbeats.
