Love Is In The Air
"So, what am I waiting for now?" Shawn asked more to himself then Juliet. She gave him a puzzled look. When she didn't respond, he went on, "All I know is that I don't want to miss out on the prize."
"The prize? What are you trying to say, Shawn?" Juliet asked quietly. He took a breath.
"That I..." He hesitated, searching her face looking for an answer. He had to tell her.
"I love you."
Juliet's eyes widened in shock for a moment, but then she smiled.
"You love me?" she asked.
Shawn nodded. "Yes, I do. I love you, Jules." He suddenly smiled , "Since the first time I laid eyes on you in the diner, I knew you were the one for me." Juliet smiled slightly, reached up and pressed her hand against his jaw, "Shawn.." then leaned forward and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close. Kissing her back frantically the way he had always wanted to. Her lips were soft and warm against his own. He wondered why he had put off telling her for so long. This was right, this was how it should be. He was sure that from now on, he would never in his life want to kiss another pair of lips except hers. His hand reached up and threaded their way through Juliet's hair. She was so addicting. So he kissed her again and again until -
"Oh, gross!"
Shawn and Juliet broke apart and they looked up to see Lassiter staring at them with a grimace on his face and Gus with a sheepish look on his face. "I came up here to congratulate you O'Hara and I find you kissing Spencer?" He said with disgust.
"Sorry Lassie," said Shawn shooting a glare at Gus, "We forgot to lock the door."
Lassiter made a face and rolled his eyes.
"Look on the bright side, Lassie! Now we can all go on a double date together! Me and Juliet, You and Gus." Shawn said flamboyantly gesturing between them. Gus shot Shawn a glare and shook his head, "No, Shawn. I am not going on a date with Lassiter." Shawn raised and eyebrow. "Really? Because I've always said you two make a surprisingly cute couple."
"Shawn!"
"What?"
Gus rolled his eyes, and Shawn looked back over at Juliet. She was smiling at him and had her fingers intertwined with his. He may not be going on a double-date with Gus and Lassiter but the date he would be on was going to be great. Much to Lassiter's disgust, Shawn flashed a smile at Juliet and leaned down for another kiss.
Gus dragged Lassiter from the room with a slight smile on his lips. Only one thought going through his mind. Finally.
