"Hello, Auden," a male voice said behind me. I turned around and smiled.

"Hey, Jason, how are you?" He smiled and fell into step with me.

"Fine, I suppose. It's been a long summer."

"Yeah? How was Brain Camp?"

"It was the same. I mean, after going for five years there's not really anything new to learn. It was more for the routine."

"How's Macy?" A brief shadow of pain flickered in his eyes before they cooled again.

"She…she broke up with me." I looked at him, surprised.

"Really? What happened?" He looked at me and shrugged before sitting down on a bench near us. I followed him, sitting beside him.

"I don't really know. I mean, everything was fine when I left. But then she sent me an email telling me she loved me, which freaked me out. So I put our relationship on hold until I returned at the end of the summer. And when I did she was talking about chaos and things happening but you wouldn't know what they were, making no sense at all. And then there was this angel made out of garbage and then she ran off and now she's with some juvenile delinquent welder with a tattoo." I stared at him, shocked, unable to think of a response.

"What's so wrong with putting a relationship on hold? I needed to be serious about my grades and my responsibilities and she should have been focusing on the library. And I know she wasn't because she could never answer my questions and all she did was complain about the other girls and then one day she just up and left. She jumped over the desk and just left the library, my position unattended. Of course, it was to go be with the delinquent. I guess that was the turning point of our relationship. And her mom talked to me a few times, saying she was changing. She kept coming home late, she wasn't studying anymore, you know. She lost sight of her priorities."

"Wow. Jason, I am so sorry." He gave me a sad smile and shrugged.

"It is what it is, I suppose. I don't quite understand her decision, or what led to it, but if this is what she wants then I suppose I have to respect it." We sat there, quiet for a few minutes before he spoke again.

"I just miss her. I miss her a lot."

A/N So I was reading Along For The Ride and that quote "juvenile delinquent welder with a tattoo" was mentioned and so I came up with this story. I'm thinking of doing a Jason series. Like, his thoughts on their relationship as time passes. Granted, there would only be three of them because he's only in three of Sarah Dessen's books, but I think that's what I'm gonna do. So yeah, two down, one more to go. So I guess this is the sequel to What Have I Done. Cool. I've never written a sequel before. :))
