The fallen angel abandoned herself to a corrupt vow…she rid herself of all the days she spent loving…
The cold, autumn air nipped at the faces of all the residents in Alderice. The flurry of orange, red and brown leaves covered the ground. Boots crushed and scattered leaves, the noise of which was drowned out by the crowd. The afternoon sky was clear and bright rays of the sun reflected off the pavement, not helping the cold at all. Dry, shriveled up flower petals floated gently down onto the hard ground, swirling in circles as they fall. Even the smell of the air had a bittersweet feel to it, for it was mixed with the scent of cinnamon and pine needles. The town looked as if it was dying, but not the residents. They were, in fact, far from it. Cheerfully, they went on with their lives, taking no notice of anyone else, as if under some strange spell.
From a dark corner, a pair of light blue eyes stared at the passerbys. On closer look, one could see that the person huddled there, only dressed in a white Victorian outfit of a skirt and shirt, was a young girl, human in all but the pair of pure white wings sprouting from her back. Her doll-like features were covered with an array of bruises and cuts. Strands of her short, orange hair lay limply on her shoulders. Lost and defeated, Rin knew death was only a matter of time now. What a pathetic angel, she thought to herself grimly as she gingerly held a worn feather between her thumb and index finger.
From the bustling crowd, a girl with light blue hair done in a bun approached the shivering Rin. She had a polished, high class look to her, which was betrayed by her caring smile. It was as radiant as the sun, and practically leaked cheerfulness. Her black, frilly dress showed off her ivory white shoulders, as well as her shapely form. Her face was very feminine, with gentle curves and round cheeks. Round eyes and long lashes looked down at her. Locks of hair hung down her face, right past her eyes.
Rin, in a daze, looked up at her beautiful teal green eyes, which showed surprising warmth and kindness. " Hey, what are you doing here?" As their eyes met, Rin felt heat coming to her face. Her heart thumped loudly and painfully on hearing her words. What was this feeling she had? She was almost overwhelmed by the feeling. Was it good, or bad? " I…don't know…" the answer came out shakily, as the girl outstretched a black, gloved hand to her. " Well then, my name's Miku. Do you have a place to stay?"
"N-no….." she could barely stutter out, her voice cracking slightly.
"What is your name?" there was silence for a moment, before she answered and took her hand, slowly rising from the ground. " Rin..." And so the vines of sin gradually wrapped themselves around the two…
