setting: in the forest

He turned around sharply. There was a loud crack as he stepped on a twig.

He stood stock still, listning for sounds. The long branches of the huge willow tree was swaying in the wind, rustling.

He allowed himself to relax. He allowed himself to pace, somewhat nervously, around the tree.

He stopped once again. This time, sure that he heard someone. He narrowed his eyes.

A shadow flitted past between trees. There was a chuckle.

Without knowing it, he was fumbling with the silk ribbon binding the twelve red roses together.

He turned around again and tripped on a tree root. He fell on the leaf strewn floor.

There was another chuckle. A shadow flitted to and fro between the trees. He couldn't see anything and the drakness of the night sky wasn't helping.

The moon was hiding behind huge storm clouds. The sky was dark red.

His grey eyes narrowed into slits. His hands blindly felt for the bouquet of roses.

His body stiffened. He felt the dull point of a wand on his neck.

"Don't move."

There was a rustle of leaves, as his assailant moved behind him.

"She's mine. Don't you know that?"

Something sharp replaced the dull tip of the wand.

Dark black hair danced across his eyes. He watched the blond boy in front of him,one corner of his mouth twitching upward.

Shaking his head. He grabbed a fistful of blond hair and yanked.

Silver grey eyes met with emerald green ones.

The grey eyes widened in realization, before turning dull and lifeless.

He released his hold on the hair, letting strands of silver blond hair flow from his hands.

She treaded the forest floor carefully. Someone was already there. Excitement was flooding her veins.

She let herself smile as she slowed down. The figure knelt down and his hand was outstretched, offering something to her.

She stopped infront of him. She brushed wavy strands of brown hair off her face.

A slight drizzle of rain started to fall. Lightning arched through the sky.

He lifted his head. The bouquet of roses in his hand were flecked with droplets of blood, like morning dew.

Green eyes glittered with malice. His teeth were barred in a hideous grin.

His green gaze skittered all over her before turning to look up.

Darkness once again enveloped them. She felt like choking. She backed up slowly. Her hands trembling.

Another huge streak of lighning, lighted the whole scene.

She screamed.

His grey gaze was looking down at her. His feet hung limp, dangling high above her. A red silk ribbon was holding him. The blood that was seeping from an open cut on his neck was dripping steadily down.

She watched the blood drip down to the rose petals.

He gave a chuckle, he was still kneeling in front of her holding the roses high above him. His green eyes glittering with manic laughter.

She dropped to her hands and knees.

Helpless tears falling.

A/N: lost? Draco's the one dangling, Harry's the one who killed him!
