The wind blows
My hair becomes tangled
I was done up to go to a fancy dinner
You told me to meet you in the field
I would do anything for you
I still would
It was then that you told me
You cared and loved me
You wanted to protect me
I didnt' know how to react
I stayed stunned and silent
The wind blew harder
You started to walk away
I couldn't let you go
I ran forward and took your arm
You turned towards me
I saw tears in your eyes
It pained me beyond words
I went on my tip toes
Reached up and brushed them away
You looked at me tears ready to come back
I stepped closer and leaned up
I wasn't sure what I was doing
But it felt right
When your arms wrapped around me
We shared a passionate kiss
And stayed in the field for hours
It was truly heaven.
