Ha! Sorry, I just couldn't resist this one!
Summary: Dick's in hysterics, Wally's embarrassed, Artemis is just confused.
…
Richard Grayson had seen many things in his short life, some he expected, and some he didn't.
This came under the unexpected category.
Of course, it had started off perfectly normal at first. Get up; go to school, come home, do homework, and then head off to the cave to spend some quality time with his teammates whilst waiting for their next superhero assignment. He had honestly thought his day would be normal (well, as normal as teenage superheroes life can get), but he was wrong.
Dick, under the name of Robin, walked calmly through the mountain, carefully making sure his sunglasses were sitting perfectly on his nose. He was heading further into their base, with no planned destination; he ended up passing outside his best friend's room. The door, surprisingly, open.
And that is what led to Robin being caught completely off guard. Wally was standing in front of a slim mirror (that, however, was not completely unusual) talking to himself. But it was what he was saying that had frozen Dick to his place.
"- Look, I like you. I mean, I didn't like you in the beginning, but that was then, this is now… No!" Wally pulled at his red hair scrunching his eyes tightly before regaining his composure and starting again.
"Spee- Red Arrow was my friend. When you came along, I thought you were just his replacement. I was wrong though. You're so much more. I was angry and confused, that I didn't see how great you were, and I'm sorry if I ever offended you during one of our arguments. I was out of line, I wasn't fair to you. I'm sorry.
"Our arguments are one of the best bits about my day, you ground me, in a way no one ever has before. I guess you stop my ego from inflating to an overly dramatic size, and it helps. I came to see you as a friend, the rest of them are my family, but I didn't consider you family. You're something else, something I couldn't put my finger on in the beginning. It was then I realised.
"I like you, Artemis." Wally paused, staring at the mirror, unable to move, completely entranced.

Robin couldn't help it, he burst into hysterics. "Ah…. I'm sorry…." The boy wonder continued to laugh, clutching his side in pain.
Wally, however, was staring at his friend in shock. "Dude! Seriously, grow up!"
"Sorry." Robin managed to bite his tongue, stopping his laughs.
Wally sighed, collapsing onto his bed, "this is so wrong! I shouldn't feel that way! Not about the she-devil herself!"
Robin couldn't help it, he burst out laughing again. This time he couldn't stop.
"What's going on?"
Robin laughed harder and Wally jumped up, "Artemis!"
The blonde Gothamite raised an eyebrow at the peculiar scene, but she did take a moment to eye Wally's incredibly red face. She smirked, "guessing by your reactions, you were talking about me."
It wasn't a question.
Robin stopped laughing, "erm, I gotta go. I think that's Batman calling." He left quickly.
Artemis watched confused as Wally's face turned redder. Then she smiled, walked up to the speedster and planted a kiss on his cheek. "Don't get used to it." She said as she walked out the door.
Wally stared in shock, then brought his hand up and rubbed his cheek smiling goofily.
"You bet I will."
