Title: Valentine's Day
Author: Mrs. Carolyn Mitchell
Disclaimer: I don't own anything. Sadly.
A/N: I get a lot of inspiration from Facebook likes, and this just happened to be one of them that I found today and thought that I could use for this holiday of sorts. ^_^ Sorry it's kind of short. :/
Carolyn Lam stared at the computer screen, not even processing what was there. All she could think about was that there were five minutes left until the end of her shift when Cam was going to come down and sweep her off to their romantic Valentine's Day dinner. She looked over at the wrapped up package beside her computer which his present was in. It had been almost two years since they'd started dating; It was hard to believe.
There was a knock on her door. She turned around and smiled when she saw Cam standing there.
"Hey!" she greeted cheerfully.
"Hey yourself," he said, swooping down to give her a quick kiss.
Carolyn stood up and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Happy Valentine's Day."
He smiled nervously. "Um… yeah."
Carolyn didn't notice his nervousness. She quickly grabbed the package next to her computer and handed it to him.
He opened it up to reveal a rather large amount of milk chocolate with caramel filling. He smiled widely. "Chocolate! Awesome! Thanks, babe!"
Inside, she sighed with relief, glad that he was happy with her gift.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a rather small box, handing it to her. She took it, slightly confused by its small size.
"Now, before you open this," Cam started, "I want you to know something."
Carolyn looked up at him. "What?"
"I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore," Cam said slowly.
Carolyn's eyes widened. "What?" She forgot about the box in her hand. "Was it something I did? Is it because of my father?"
"No, Carolyn, listen," Cam said, taking the small box out of her hands. "I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore," he said, opening up the box, "because I want to be your husband."
Sitting in the box was a small engagement ring.
"So… will you marry me?" Cam asked hopefully.
Carolyn looked between the ring and him. "R…Really?"
"Yeah," he replied.
She bit her lip, smiling, and then she nodded. He smiled, slipping the ring on her slim finger, kissing the ring and then kissing her.
This was definitely a Valentine's Day that they would both remember.
A/N: Happy Valentine's Day everyone! ^_^
