OUT OF CHARACTER ANNABETH. She's fuming over Percy and the gods' offer to make him immortal. It then turns into her resentment for the gods in general and how they treat human civilization and her desire to escape from it.

I own absolutely nothing. It's a drabble. Enjoy if you will.

You wanted it. You're smarter, stealthier, and just overall better for the task of being immortal.

So why the Hades didn't you get the offer?

People call you a crazy and psychotic bitch, but you're already cognizant of it.

They undermine everybody else in the world, and you're included. At times-times that appear more frequently than you'd like- you're ready to just melt away and remain that shallow unnoticed puddle.

It bothers you that they chose to not view the world as what it could possibly be. In fact, they don't focus on the world because the population is too large for them handle. No spotlight. No attention. No glory. You despise their very existence. You know that there are a multitude of people who've died for righteous causes, didn't get an opportunity to live, who've gone to hell and back only coming back to continue living through hell.

It's not fair.

It's not fair that these people have to suffer and not even get a chance at living. The others constantly taking life in their grasp and not letting go. It's a fucked up world, and you're not quite sure if you want to be a part of the statistics.

You're unsure if you're going to Hades' realm or Elysium, gods knows you wouldn't even be glanced at for an opportunity to try the Isles of the Blest. On those rare occasions that you do pray, you pray to whatever deity you follow for the month that you won't end up in the same infinite prison with the very people you detest so much.

Annabeth is MAJOR OOC. I know! I enjoy writing the characters out of their natural realms.
Review if you enjoyed?
