Each chapter is written from a point of view from five well loved X-Men as they are brought back to life following a mutant massacre in order to save the earth from powerful aliens. Prologue.

"Dear people of the world

This morning, the 21st august 2031, may be the start of the last days I speak as world leader. I would like everyone on earth to be aware that a craft has entered the solar system and is predicted to be heading for earth. Whether their intent is too attack is yet unknown however this is highly likely. We have what is thought to be around 5 days to prepare.

At 1200 hours we will be running an experiment to try and bring mutants back from extinction as they are now our only hope in defending the planet. As world leader I know that some of you will be greatly disappointed in my orders to bring back the mutants, however, I beg you to understand that their powers are essential in maintaining the future and safety of the earth. The list of team members we aim to bring back consist of Charles Frances Xavier, Henry Phillip McCoy, Ororo Munroe, Eric Lehnsherr, Scott Summers and Jean grey.

Again, I wish you all safety in the coming days. Please do not expect any further update. We recommend you take the next days to prepare and gather supplies from your nearest checkpoints. I urge you not to panic in this time and I urge you to try and stay indoors once you are fully prepared. I have taken great honour serving you and I will serve to protect everything this planet hat to offer until my last breath.
