Hello to all!
First of all, I would like to say that I do not own any of the characters mentioned in this chapter, as they are all created by the AMAZING J. K. Rowling.
This is my first fanfic on this site, so please review and tell me what you think/what you would to read!
Thank you!

Chapter I – Albus

Albus Potter disentangled himself from his family with his trolley to make his way across Platform 93/4. It was going to be the start of his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and he couldn't deny his excitement.
"Al, don't forget to help Lily with some of her things!" Ginny Weasley called out as she pushed her daughter's trolley through the crowd. Albus gave her an 'Okay, Mum!' and continued his search for his friends, eyes scanning the bustling crowd.
"Albus, over here!"
He turned to the sound of his name and spotted his cousin, Rose Weasley, waving at him outside the Gryffindor train compartment. Albus made his way over to her and gave her a quick hug before returning both hands to the handle of his trolley. "Hey Rosie, I haven't seen you since the day before!" he joked as her younger brother Hugo appeared with Lily Potter in tow.
"Al, you have to help me with my things!" she complained, putting her hands on her hips and pouting. "Mum said you would."
"Why don't you ask James to help you?" Albus asked his sister, the promise he made to his mother momentarily forgotten.
"He's talking with Will." Lily replied.
"I'm sure Hugo would be glad to help you, won't you Hugo?" said Rose as she gave her brother a pointed look. Hugo groaned in protest but Lily grinned and dragged him towards her trunks.
"Thanks," Albus let out a breath, looking at his cousin. Rose smiled at him. "That's what friends are for," she replied, slinging her crimson backpack over her shoulder. "Besides," she added, "Don't want to keep your friend waiting." His cousin winked at him as she stepped into the carriage and made her way inside one of the compartments.
"Well, well, the famous Mister Potter."
Albus turned around and came face to face with Scorpius Malfoy, who was 'the spitting image of his ferret of a father' as his Uncle Ron had so elegantly put. Scorpius was tall for fifteen – taller than Albus, but only by a few inches. His skin was as pale as his silver eyes, and his smirk was permanently plastered on his face.
"Malfoy," Albus responded with equal defiance.
The two young teens stared at each other for a few moments, complete opposites of each other's appearances but mirrored in personality. Then the two broke into wide smiles and Scorpios gave the young Potter's shoulder a gentle squeeze.
"How's your summer been, Al?" the young Malfoy asked his best friend as they walked to the Slytherin carriage. "Very dull and very hot," was the reply and Scorpius laughed.

The Hogwarts Express let out a shrill whistle, announcing five minutes before its departure. Albus excused himself to say his good-byes to his parents and his Uncle Ron and Aunt Hermione, before hopping onto the Hogwarts Express and into the Slytherin compartment. As he slid himself into the seat across from the Malfoy heir, he couldn't wait to see what the magical school had in store for him this year.
