AN: This is inspired by me listening to Jake Bugg's Two fingers and running with the lyrics. I wrote it in 10 minutes while waiting for Friday Night Dinner to come on (even though it was Sunday!) . Oh and this is deliberately set out this way. Read the bottom AN please! And R&R please!

Disclaimer: I don't own Merlin.

A man has only one way of being immortal on earth:
He has to forget he is a mortal- Jean Giraudoux

Death Defyer

Struck by lightning? Forget it,
I've done it.
Mauled by a grizzly bear?
Puhlease.
Poisoned by an evil witch?
Ha!
I laugh in the face of death.

I stuck two fingers up to yesterday.
Death is afraid of me,
I'm still here.
And I'm still alive.
I'm going anywhere.

I think euphoria (and most definitely megalomania) had taken over him.
As he chucked himself off of the tallest tower in the castle,
didn't even break his fall with magic!

Maybe that wasn't such a good idea,
or was it?...

.
Years later,
you can still hear the screams, all the way up that tower…
Or is it just legend?
A myth?
Who knows?

You can't find that castle anymore.
The terrain which surrounds such a place will kill any who try to breach its secrets.
If you listen, really listen,
You can hear the screams,
Cries,
in the whistling wind…
Or can you?

Immortality,
There's no greater sadness.
Immortality,
There's no greater reward.
Immortality,
Are you really there?
Emrys,
Is that what you wish to be.

Answer me Emrys… Please?

AN: Who do you think is asking Emrys this question, review and let me know your answer.
