Wrapped up in her winter scarf and coat, Tsunoda had just gotten to the elevator, pressed the button, and got the doors sliding shut when a voice called out.
"Hold the door!"
Komiya rushed across the foyer floor in his winter jacket, and Tsunoda quickly held out her hand to keep the door from closing so he could slip in.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" she apologized, "I didn't see you coming in!" She clapped her hands together, wishing her gloves were warmer and less for aesthetic, as she'd originally bought them.
"Th-thanks," Komiya said, a little out of breath as he settled in next to her, setting down his case. "I'm usually never this late…"
Shivering, he hugged his arms around himself. The heating in the building was miserable, and one day when he'd amounted the courage, he really meant to complain about it.
Tsunoda watched him, then smiled and giggled.
"What?" Komiya's ears pricked up uneasily. He was used to his coworkers laughing at him behind his back, and felt a shadow of dread.
"You've still got some snow on your jacket," Tsunoda said, stepping up and then standing on tiptoe, lightly brushing the powdery layer off of Komiya's shoulders. "You wouldn't want to walk into the office looking like that…"
Komiya's face heated up instantly at how close she was, the blush on his face hot enough to have melted the snow itself.
After a few long seconds, she finished, and stepped back to look into his eyes and smile.
"All better. Looking good." Her eyes sparkled.
"Tsunoda…thanks." Komiya couldn't hide his own smile.
The elevator then made a soft hum and opened onto the new floor, and collecting their things, the two started their walk together to the office.
Neither felt so cold anymore.
