He stood at the very edge of the pier, staring down at the dark blue water underneath him. His open white button down shirt fluttered as the wind blew cold sea air toward him. Although he wanted so desperately to cry, his body was incapable of doing so. He had locked his tears deep in his heart long ago.
The darkness around him was crushing him with the weight of all the pain and betrayal he had suffered through . Behind him was nothing. In front of him his fate endlessly stretched on. Nothing but pitch black sky and never-ending blue sea. Nothing left to go back to.
He was ready to move on, to abandon this wretched existence of his. He stepped forward, so that one of his feet was now off the pier, and was about to cast himself into blissful nothingness when something appeared before him.
He stared in awe at the beautiful creature that floated before him. With the soft, white wings know only to the most heavenly of creatures, the boy looked like an angel. His vivid pink hair, and violet eyes captivated the grown man.
Suddenly he collapsed onto the pier in tears, tears that had been locked away for what seemed like an eternity. The angelic creature embraced him as sobs wracked through his entire body, and the grown man felt at peace for the first time in many years.
Yuki awoke to the sound of his own tears hitting the pillow underneath him. His heart was aching terribly, so he reached out into the darkness for the one thing that could comfort him when he felt this way. He pulled a warm ball of pink fluff and undying love against his chest, and buried his face in the boys hair.
As he cried himself to sleep he heard the reassuring words of his lover. He smelt the strawberry scent of the younger mans hair. He felt slender arms wrap around his broad frame. He could see a livid pink, blurred by his tears. And once again he was given a taste of what happiness truly was.
